The car stopped at the entrance of Larissa's apartment. Looking at the familiar surroundings, Larissa asked in surprise, "Why are we back here?"

Kevan raised his eyebrows and chuckled. "Were you hoping to come to my hotel? Let's go then." He pretended to start the car engine.

Larissa lunged forward and stopped him. With a charming smile, she said, "No, no! Aster's waiting for me at home!"

Kevan snorted and held her hand instead. "You want to leave? Fine." He pointed to his cheek. "Give me a kiss, then I'll let you go."

Staring at his perfect profile, Larissa licked her lips unconsciously and swallowed. The silence was deafening in the car. Larissa could hear her own heartbeat pulsing in her ears.

She leaned in and inched closer to Kevan's face. Finally, her lips landed on his cheek. In less than a second, she pulled back immediately.

"I'm leaving!" Larissa undid her seatbelt and escaped from the car as fast as she could.

Kevan touched the warm spot on his cheek and smiled, his eyes twinkling.

After she took a few steps toward the entrance, Larissa seemed to remember something and turned back. Through the half-open car window, she waved to Kevan with flushed cheeks. "Well … see you tomorrow!"

"We have decided to get married," Kevan casually dropped a bombshell on Wendy.

"What? You two are getting married?" With a doubtful look on her face, Wendy rubbed her ears. "Am I hearing this right?"

"No, you're not mistaken. I heard it too," Aster replied. He seemed more composed than Wendy, but the joy on his face was evident.

"That's fantastic!" Aster exclaimed with a wide smile, revealing his bright and white teeth.
