The chapter Chapter 60 is one of the most intense moments in The Accidental Wedding, written by Aliza Jabri. With signature elements of the Internet genre, this part of the story reveals deep conflicts, shocking revelations, and decisive character changes. A must-read for anyone following the narrative.

My mind was diverted a little by the outline of her breast in the swimsuit, but I quickly looked away from her bosom to her eyes.

"Mia, for once please don't argue and listen to me", I softened my tone.

I knew there was no way she was going to back down if I ordered her, so I changed my stance and thought of sweet-talking her into changing the dress.

"Waleed this is my favorite, I bought it especially for this trip", She said stubbornly.

"Baby I will buy you more, for when we go to our honeymoon or come here alone, but please change it now, please for me", I couldn't believe I was pleading to a girl.

She kept looking at me for some time and then raised her hands in defeat as she pulled out another dress from her bag and stormed into the bathroom. I congratulated myself, for successfully changing her mind without a fight or argument.

We left for the beach as she walked out of the bathroom, this time wearing a tee shirt and a loose cotton Capri, I heaved a sigh of relief. At least her perfect figure was not on display in this outfit.

"You owe me for this", She said walking with me towards the beach. "I owe you my life", I replied smiling.

"Charmer", She replied, rolling her eyes.

Everyone had already come to the beach, I saw Jeena stretched on a chair, while Rania and Sheema were busy in a discussion, Asjad, Saad and Riyaan seemed to warm up for the beach volleyball.

Mia walked up to the girls as I sauntered to Asjad's side, they had already decided the team's, Saad and Riyaan were standing on the opposite side of the net from Asjad and me. "You think you are up for it", Asjad asked looking at me.

" Fuck off Asjad", I snapped.

"You are pissed at the guy and your reflex is clouded when you are pissed", Asjad said, eyeing up Riyaan. He had a good physique, no doubt about it, but that was not my concern right now, I just wanted to see how good he was at volleyball.

"Hey, you think you can make room for me?" Mia asked, strolling towards us. "Real-life partners can't be in the same team", Riyaan announced.

I looked at him, really? I mean was there any limit that this guy was not ready to go to be around my wife.

"Fuck off Riyaan, I am playing on Waleed's side", Mia replied to him before I got a chance to react.

"I know you always have been a cheater", He teased Mia.

" Riyaan, not one more word", She hissed in fury.

"Ohh really doll? What are you gonna do about it?" He asked standing in front of her, too close for my comfort.

"You know I can kick your ass whenever I want", She replied with her brow arched.

" What about a match?" He asked with a smirk.

I walked up to Mia, there was no way I was letting that bastard get into her head, the way they were looking at each other made me jealous like they shared some chemistry.

"Mia, let's take a swim, we can do snorkeling if you are in for some fish sighting", I pulled Mia by her arm. Mia looked at my hand on her arm and then in my eyes, she then looked back at Riyaan, who still had that awful smirk plastered on his face.

I didn't reply to her yet again, my eyes were fixed on Mia who was now mimicking a dance move after Riyaan missed yet another hit. I don't know if she was the better player, or Riyaan was missing the hits willingly.

"Does she love you?" Jeena asked again.

And for the first time in the entire conversation, I looked at her, I don't know why, but her question has dug its claws in my mind.

"Does Mia love me?" I asked myself.

I know she liked me and she wanted me, but does she love me? What were the chances that she would stay with me if by any chance she falls in love with someone else?

"She loves me Jeena", I replied to her, but I felt like I was trying to convince myself more than I was trying to convince her.

"Does she?" Jeena asked, arching her brow.

I stayed silent and kept looking at Jeena, trying to figure out what she was trying to imply.

"If she really did, she would be beside you right now, enjoying the limited time you got off from work, especially when this is your first trip after your marriage. Not playing volleyball with her childhood friend

trying to win a childish bet", She gave me a smirk.

And I snapped, I was afraid to admit she was right, this really was our first trip after our marriage and I wanted to spend the time with her, she had already ruined the trip by inviting Jeena and our other friends and now she was more inclined to win a stupid game against that bastard than spending the time with me. My mood was ruined, and I just wanted to get out of this place, I got up from the chair and walked back to the house, I was disappointed to find out Mia didn't even notice me leaving.
