I felt like the whole world was burning and I was the only one left alive, the smoke was suffocating me, and I was finding it difficult to breathe.

I just couldn't take the image of Mia in his arms, his lips on her neck, and her arm wrapped around his neck, out of mind. No matter how much I tried not to think about it, but my mind kept going back to it again and again.

I had broken everything in the bedroom that could be broken, and still, the rage inside me was amassing with every passing minute. I wanted to kill that fucker, I wanted to flay him and then burn him alive. And for Mia, I don't know what I wanted to do to her, I just couldn't make up my mind.

The sane voice inside me was telling me to let her in and allow her to explain, but the caveman within me just wanted to kill her along with that fucker. I knew if I stayed around here, I might do something that I would regret later, the moment this thought came into my mind, I stuffed my things in the bag and closed it pulling the zipper.

Mia was standing outside the door as I opened it, she looked at me with terrified eyes, and the moment her eyes landed on my bloodied knuckles I saw her flinch. She tried to grab my hand, but I pushed her aside, and taking long strides and jumping three steps at a time reached the bottom of the staircase.

I heard her call my name, but I didn't stop to listen to what she was saying, I hurried out of the house to the driveway where my SUV was parked, I nearly threw my bag in the trunk and was on the driver seat within seconds as I turned the key in the ignition, bringing the engine to life I saw Mia, through the rearview mirror hurrying out of the house.

I didn't lose any time and put my feet on the accelerator, the SUV moved ahead with a jerk. My eyes were fixed on the mirror, where I saw her coming to halt on the spot my SUV was parked earlier. She called me again, but I knew if I stayed a minute longer there, I was going to kill somebody.

I called my Secretary to book a ticket for tonight on the US flight, I had a visa for ten years to the US, and it was the only place where I knew would be the best for me to wait up the rising storm inside me. I didn't want to think about anything right now, making a decision about my marriage was the last thing that I wanted to think in this state of mind.

I reached home and was surprised to find Jeena present there before me. I would have thought about how she came back before me, but right now I had a flight to catch in a few hours. Ignoring her, I went to my room and just tossed my clothes and other stuff in a luggage bag as fast as I could.

I don't know what I will do if she decides to leave me and go to that son of a bitch. I will kill him, I will kill that fucker if she as much thinks of leaving me.

I needed time and space to think clearly, and I know she needed space too, to figure out if she wanted to be with me or if she wanted to leave me.

I just wanted to be away from her, till I was able to think rationally so as not to hurt her in my rage and not make any decision that will only come to haunt me later.

As I boarded the flight, I switched off my cell, there were nearly a hundred calls from Mia, which I had ignored.

I was awake for the whole flight, I couldn't sleep for a moment, the moment I closed my eyes Mia's image in Riyaan's arms would start flashing in my mind. I kept myself busy, reading the project files on my laptop. The moment I entered my apartment in Chicago, I was completely exhausted. I took a shower and stumbled to bed and thankfully I was so tired that my mind couldn't think of anything else and drifted into darkness soon.
