As soon as he stepped outside, Chase remembered the midnight-black wolf he had encountered in the forest near the Golden Hue Pack. His eyes narrowed. Shifting into his grey wolf form, he vanished into the trees without a sound.

The instant he disappeared, Greg appeared at the spot Chase had just vacated, a murderous glint burning in his eyes.
