"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I promised myself I wouldn't do this", he laughed a little while composing himself. "Alright pumpkin, let's walk you down that aisle"
The sound of the piano playing as my father were approaching made me even nervous that I had ever been. It was going to be all eyes on me the second I came into sight and I just hoped I don't trip and fall. I tightened my grip on my Dad's arm, and he gave my hand a gentle pat, mouthing I should take a slow deep breath.
The church doors opening slowly and everyone standing on the feet as we walked in was nerve wrecking for a second, but that feeling quickly went away when I locked eyes with him, already having a bright smile on his face to cover up how emotional he was getting, looking rather handsome in the maroon suit he had on...really dreamy
Reaching the altar, my father gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before turning to give Nathan handshake
"Nathan, you might see her as the person who's about to become your wife and your lifetime partner, but she'll always be my little girl. I trust you enough to treat her like the queen she is", was all my father said when he handed me over.
"You have my word, Mr Davis", Nathan nodded his head at him before helping me up the altar and gave my hands a gentle squeeze
"You're more beautiful than I imagined you would be", he was looking at me with all the admiration in the world, giving me all the butterflies' life had to offer exploding in the pit of my stomach
"Honesty you're breathtaking", he raised my hand to his lips and kissed it tenderly, and I could feel my cheeks redding a little as I dropped my eyes from his gaze
"We're all gathered here today to join this man and woman together in holy matrimony", the priest begun with his sermon, Nathan and locked eyes for the longest time because it was really hard to look away. His holding stare was already in place, and I was already giving in, mostly because he was looking at me like I was the most beautiful thing he's ever seen.
"Does anyone here have any reason why these two shouldn't be joined together in marriage?", the priest asked aloud, and we all started looking around for any objections. "Please speak now or forever hold your peace"
"I don't think anyone does, please proceed", Kevin added chuckling, standing beside Jamie when no one dared to say anything and the guests started laughing
"Very well, may we have the rings please?", the priest request and both Jamie and Tristan stepped forward to place them in the center of his bible before he continued with his sermon
"Do you Nathaniel Anthony McCarthy, take Olivia Davis to be your wedded wife? To have and to hold, from this day forward do you promise to love her faithfully, cherish and honor her, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, forsaking all others for as long as you both shall live?"
"Oh God yes, I do. A million times yes", Nathan breathed out, almost like his been waiting a long time to say it out loud.
