On Friday night, Celeste got a call from Jordyn, saying she wanted to come over.

At that time, Celeste was having dinner at the Rodriguez residence.

Before she could reply, Betty had already agreed on her behalf.

The next day, Celeste went out with Jordyn and the rest of the Rodriguez family. They didn't get back until evening.

Jordyn was still full of energy. After playing all day, she was still excited on the way home. Holding her phone, she leaned toward Celeste and said, "Mom, I want to go again next time to play with the little turtle!"

The photos she showed were of them catching and bathing the turtle together.

Celeste took one look. "Mm."

Jordyn wasn't tired, but Celeste definitely was. Maybe sensing it, Jordyn sat quietly and said, "Mom, you can rest if you're tired."

Then she went right back to fiddling with her phone—looked like she was chatting with someone.

Celeste glanced at her, then looked away.

Jordyn had sent a bunch of photos from the day to Trevor.

At that moment, Trevor had just finished dinner with Wynn. When he received the photos, he opened them right away.

Wynn came out of the restroom and stopped for a second when she saw him looking at his phone.

In the photos were both Jordyn and Celeste, but it was Celeste who caught the eye. She was smiling brightly, and she looked... stunning.

It seemed like Trevor was just looking at the photos of Jordyn, but Wynn could tell he had zoomed in, and the person he was actually looking at was Celeste.

When he noticed her coming back, he put down his phone. "You're back."

Celeste frowned, but before she could answer, Jordyn was already cuddling into her arms, pleading softly.

Betty, on the other hand, thought this was a perfect chance for Celeste to win Jordyn over. "Cel, since you're free tomorrow, just take her," she said.

Celeste sighed. "...Fine."

The next morning, she took Jordyn to class.

Afterward, Jordyn had another activity, and Celeste stayed with her for that too.

That evening, they went back to the Rodriguez residence for dinner. After the meal, Jordyn was supposed to return to Trevor's place, as it was closer to school.

But when she called him, he said he was out of town and wouldn't be back tonight. Then, he told her to stay at the Rodriguez residence instead.
