The Breath Of Life novel Chapter 35

I got out my dagger, I quickly sniffed the air, then I know what it was, it mountain lion. "A mountain lion is near." I said in a whisper.

We both stood still, waiting until it appeared. It came through the bushes, crouching down hissing at us. I stood in front of Tim, who is about to jump, but I cut him off.

I walked up to it, crouching down as well. I looked around to see if anyone was around, I know Tim is, but I have to see what's wrong.

I raised my hand placing it directly on its wet nose. 'Who are you, are you here to hurt me?' The mountain lion said through the mind link.

I shake my head no. "We are not here to fight, just to pass." I said in a whisper. The mountain lion shook its head, and stepped away to let us pass.

"Come on wolf, we got to hurry." I said walking straight ahead with Tim on my right side.

I made it to the house, Tim ran off to do something. I walked inside the house to see Zach sitting down in the living room. Also Mary was here, and Daniel.

Their eyes almost pop out of their eyes. That's when I remember that my shirt is covered in blood. "Light, what happened to your arm?" Mary said running to me.

"I'm fine, just ran into a bear today. Don't worry I scarred it away." I said looking at Daniel who mouth was wide open.

"WHAT, A BEAR HURT YOU! WHERE IS TIM. TIM WHERE ARE YOU!" Mary said yelling.

Tim came rushing in, looking like crap. His hair is messed up, his pants is a little ripped, and he has a few cuts on his arm. I sighed looking away from him.

"What happen to you?" Daniel said speechless now.

Tim looked at me, then looked at Zach who is now looking at me with worry. "I-I kind of went through a thorn bush." Tim said quickly, but I know he got himself hurt because of me.

"I'm going to take a shower, and I'm going to sleep. I'm tired." I said walking away.

"But it's only noon." Mary said.

"I know, but I'm tired. See you later." I said walking up stairs to my room. I took a quick shower again, then head to bed.

{"I know, your right, but I want to talk to Light. Even Elmo wants to talk to her, also the others, but we can't because of a stupid command from Zach."} I said growling a little.

I sighed while walking up the stairs, heading to my room. I stopped by Light's door, opening the door real slow.

I saw Light spread out on her bed, she looked like she was having a dream. I smiled, looking around her room.

Her room was peaceful, blue walls, dad bought her a TV, but she doesn't really watch stuff that much anymore. Since the day we all abandoned her, everyday I watch her cry.

Mike and Brandon stopped talking to Zach, also stopped playing pranks on us. Zach doesn't even realized what's in front of him, just stupid girls that just hang on him like a monkey.

I closed Light's door, heading down the hall to mine. I opened my door seeing my room clean, as always.

I sat on my bed, laying down. I looked at the ceiling, seeing mold started to appear. I closed my eye's, but got ruined by the sound of opera music.
