The Breath Of Life novel Chapter 56

"Anyway, Zach your in danger. All of you are in danger, a hunter came into my dream last night and told me he will do anything to get me, anything." Zach and the boys looked at me while Tim was thinking of something to do with Zach's face.

"Prove it that your telling the truth." Zach said getting furious.

I took off my backpack, and set it on the desk. I pulled out my nature book and dagger. Everyone looked at my dagger as I placed it on top of my book.

I put my backpack on the floor, then grabbed my book. I opened one of my pages and handed it to John. He read the page about the hunters. "We seem to have a bit of a problem. Light is right, son your in danger."

Zach stood up and headed to me, his face is full of anger. "You are lying to my father. We can kill anything, your just human. A weak human."

I grabbed his throat filling sparks running up my arm, but I ignored it.

I lifted him about five inches off the floor. I heard gasps from all around us as I looked deeply into Zach's eyes. Even though I'm a Shifter my eyes can turn into any animal I want.

I can feel my eyes turning into my leopards eyes, sharp as ever. "I'm not human. You want me to prove it, well let's go outside." I pulled him out the door by his throat.

Everyone followed as I pushed Zach away from me, I took a few steps away. I looked straight in his eyes and I can tell he is fighting his wolf.

"Ok Zach, shift!" He looked confused, and stood there like a statue. "Zach, I know what you and everyone is. Now, let's see what you got." He turned into his black wolf shredding his clothes in progress while I was waiting for his attack.

"Ready, mutt?" I mocked.

I knew he was angry, more angry than before.

John knew I could take him, even Star and my brother. Everyone was looking at us, as we circle each other.

Our eye's stayed focus on each other, no one stops us. I can feel everybody's eyes on me, since they think I'm human. Zach ran to me growling, baring his teeth as he jumped.

Shots of pleasure went through my mind as my paw was on him. I got into his mind again, 'Are you going to stop, and listen to me or do you want to die fighting with me.'

I saw his eyes looking at me. He dropped his tail, I won the dominant part.

I let go of his throat, and stepped back. He got up and ran into the house. I changed back, and I heard gasps behind me. I turned to see almost everyone had their eyes closed, but Mike, Brandon, Elmo, and Jo who had their mouths hanging wide open.

Their eye's roam my body, as Mike said, "Wow. Light...I don't know what to say. Guys?" Mike looked at the others, but no one talked.

I looked at everyone still covering their eyes then said, "Guy's, I'm dressed you can looked." Everyone uncovered their eyes and saw that I'm covered with a black cloth.

We all headed back inside, Star was at my side. She pulled me into the kitchen with her hand gripped tight at my elbow. "I'm sorry about Zach. I didn't know he would go this far." I put my hand on her shoulder, she looked up at me.

"Don't worry, he will understand when I tell why. I decided not to tell anyone about me being a Shifter, but they will think I'm a werewolf like them." She nodded at me, then we went back to the office, where Zach was sitting alone.
