It was Zach's scent, it was strong, but it was lite. So, I did the only thing I could think of.
I tried to reach his mind, maybe I can get into his mind. I felt the blocks, so I tried breaking them.
One by one.
I didn't even realize that I'm moving, I was in the forest now. I felt like I was getting closer, but I couldn't see anything, expect the trees.
Then, I heard something, a voice. 'Light, can you hear me?', 'Mom, dad, Lilly, can you hear me.' and 'Please.' I felt him pushing against something.
'Zach, can you hear me?' There was a pause, then I heard.
'Great, I'm hearing voices.' I laughed a little.
'Zach, it's me. Light. Where are you?' I heard him whimpering at the sound of my voice.
'Light, is it really you?' Zach's voice was gentle, but painful.
'Yes, it's me. Are you hurt?' I can feel him nodding his head.
I growled out loud, but I'm glad no one was around. 'Where are you?' I said.
I can feel him looking around. 'I'm in a cell, of some sort. This guy name Marcus says your his niece. Is that true?' I sighed and sat down in the snow.
'Yes, he's my uncle. I thought he was dead, but I was wrong. Don't listen to him, if he told you anything.' I said thinking if he knew I was a Shifter.
'Well, he told me you were a Shifter, but is it true or is it not.' This can't be, he knows.
'Well, is it true? Does, my family know?' He said.
'Yes, I'm a Shifter. Only your mom, dad, Tim's parents, Tim himself and Lilly knows that I'm a Shifter.' I heard him sigh.
'Why, didn't you tell me?' Because Zach, I could bring you into a war that could be deadly, but I only said that in my head.
'Zach, I'm sorry, but I had to. If I told you, it could bring war upon your family, and I won't let that happen.' I whispered into his mind, hoping that I calmed him.
That's when I felt Zach's pull closing. 'Zach, are you still there?!' I can hear Zach yelling my name.
I tried getting back into his mind, but when I did. Marcus eyes appeared, with a evil smile.
I tried getting to Zach, but it was to late, nothing, but the wind is all I hear.
I turned into my wolf and howled. I stopped howling, I couldn't hear anything, but the harsh wind.
I cried in pain, the pain was to much. I tried contacting Light, but I can't hear her thoughts. "Boys, move him into the basement. Where he can't connect to Lightning."
When they grabbed me I blacked-out, but I did hear something, a howl from my mate
My mate...
Lightning's POV
It was about noon when I woke up from sleep, and Star was there beside me. She gave me pills for my headache that I had.
Tim was beside me looking furious as ever. "What happened out there Light. Why were you in the snow and whining?" He said running a hand down his face.
I grabbed him by the shoulders and look at him in the eyes.
Star came in just in time, to tell her and Tim why I was outside. "I talked to him, in mind link." I said in a whisper.
"Who? Who did you talk to?" Star said eagerly, sitting down next to me as I pulled my legs against my chest and rest my head on them.
"Zach. He was there in my mind. We talked a little till Marcus knew we were talking to each other and shut our connection somehow." I said as a few tears run down my cheeks.
