Seeing what was happening, Rebecca hurriedly pulled her clothes tighter around herself and rushed behind Dylan.
Mr. West hadn’t expected to find another man in the room. Realizing he was in trouble, he tried to bolt for the door. But he only managed a couple of steps before Dylan grabbed him and slammed him to the floor, pinning him down with no effort.
Mr. West struggled desperately, but he was no match for Dylan’s strength.
The commotion quickly attracted the hotel manager and several staff members. Spotting the scene, the manager—alarmed because this was the presidential suite and the guests were clearly of high status—asked anxiously, “What’s going on here?”
Dylan glanced at Rebecca, who stepped forward and pointed at Mr. West. “He was hiding in my room. He just tried to assault me. I have no idea how he got in—does your hotel have no security at all?”
The manager blanched. “I’ll look into this right away!”
Mr. West thrashed against Dylan’s hold, gasping, “Let me go—let me go!”
Rebecca pressed further, her voice cold. “Who sent you? How did you get into my room?”
The man tried to play it off, giving her a greasy smile. “Come on, sweetheart, let me go. It was just me—no one told me to do anything.”
Rebecca let out a sharp, humorless laugh. “Do you really think I’m going to buy that? You’d better tell me who’s behind this, or you’re in for a world of pain.”
Mr. West hesitated, then finally caved. “Fine, fine. I’ll talk. It was Katherine. She paid me a fortune to come here and… do this to you. She promised me a contract worth five million if I succeeded.”
Rebecca clenched her fists, her jaw tight. So her suspicions were right—Katherine was behind this, yet again resorting to such vile tactics.
Dylan’s eyes widened as he looked at Rebecca. “Katherine? Why would she want someone to hurt you?”
Rebecca coughed awkwardly. “It’s… a private matter between her and me.”
It was far too complicated to explain right now. She turned back to Mr. West. “How did you get into my room?”
He stammered, “A staff member let me in…”
He lifted his head, eyes darting to a hotel employee standing behind the manager.

Dylan gave a curt nod.
The manager bowed and then led the security team as they dragged Mr. West away.
As the door shut behind them, Rebecca finally exhaled in relief.
“Are you alright?” Dylan asked, turning to her with genuine concern.
Rebecca shook her head, forcing a small smile. “I’m okay. Thank you.”

Rebecca said nothing. Her cheeks only grew redder, a wave of heat rushing through her.
Dylan studied her face, concern flickering in his eyes. “Are you sure you’re alright? Maybe you should see a doctor.”
