She’d made a point of digging into the Olson Group, so when she spotted the Olson brothers, Justin and Lionel, she recognized them immediately.

Garcia forced down her curiosity and followed Mrs. Austin into another private lounge.

Halfway through, Garcia found an excuse to slip out. As she stepped into the hallway, she caught sight of Lionel leaving Dylan’s room and immediately hurried after him.

In a quiet corner, she spotted Lionel whispering to a waiter. He handed over a small packet. “Slip this into the woman’s drink when you serve it to the private room,” Lionel instructed.

Then, he shoved a thick stack of cash into the waiter’s hand. The waiter nodded, pocketed the packet, and hurried away.

Garcia clamped a hand over her mouth in shock.

What was Lionel up to? The woman… could it be Rebecca? Was Lionel really planning to do something to her?

Rumor had it Lionel was notorious for chasing women—a bastard son with a reputation for debauchery. And Rebecca, with her sly, seductive looks, must have caught his eye.

A guilty thrill ran through Garcia. She’d always hated Rebecca. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if something happened to her.

Justin’s eyes widened briefly. He quickly replied, his voice full of apology, “Please don’t misunderstand, Mr. Austin. I know Lionel was responsible for what happened, so I brought him to apologize in person. You know I’ve never gotten along with him, so whatever you decide to do, I won’t stand in your way.”

Dylan was silent for a moment, then looked up at Justin. “Anything I want?”

After a long silence, Dylan finally spoke. “Restitution is a given. But do you really think a single drink is enough?”

Lionel froze. “Then what do you want, Mr. Austin?”

Dylan didn’t answer. Instead, his gaze drifted to Rebecca.

“My assistant took the fall for you this time. The person you really owe an apology to is her.”

As Rebecca met Lionel’s gaze, she frowned. There was something off about the look in his eyes—something leering, almost predatory.

She felt an involuntary shiver of disgust. She really didn’t like the way Lionel was looking at her. In fact, she found him downright repulsive.
