A few minutes of struggling, I finally gave up. A few minutes after so I was pulled into a different embrace. Skin collided with my face, sending sparks through my wet cheeks. "Hey baby, you're okay."

I looked up, "I-"

"Don't speak, it's okay."

"W-What ab-about hi-him?" I looked over his shoulder at the bloodied man on his knees. Every time he would try to get up, Mr. Darren would shove him down while the mystery wolf growled.

Jordi growled when he realized what I was referring to. "I'll end him."

"Do it now. Please."

I watched as Jordi released me, walking over to his father, the wolf, and Marcus.

"You sure you want to watch?" Kelsey spoke from beside me. She apparently walked over when Jordi released me from his protective grip.

"I have to." My face turned cold. "It's the only way to get closure."

She only nodded and threw her arm around me.

I watched as Jordi circled the bastard. While Marcus looked up at him with desperation in his sorry eyes.

Without a second thought, Jordi brought down his hand viciously along the side of his face, a sickening crack rang through the area as Marcus' body collapsed, unmoving.

I didn't wince, or look away. It's good that the bastard died.

"What the hell?! I told you both to keep her home!" Jordi yelled in the car.

He insisted on driving us back after washing off in the lake nearby.

"Stop it Jo, I told her to bring me." I told him.

"I couldn't deal with myself if I knew I'd lost you today."

"But you didn't."

Silence followed for a few minutes, then tears began making their journey down my face for I don't know what time today. "Where is Ben?"

"He was rushed back to the pack doctor. He was malnourished and had gashes in his sides. There was a noticeable scar on his neck that wasn't there before." He spoke grimly.

I took in a huge breath. "I need to see him."

"Ben!" I rushed into the hospital room, breaking at the sight of my baby brother hooked up to wires, unconscious on the hard white bed.

I layer my head on the side, clutching his small hand with my own. It was so cold.

An arm snaked around me, drawing comforting circles on my back. "I just spoke with Dr. James and he said Ben should be waking up sometime tomorrow. He should be fine, but just needs extreme rest. He was malnourished so they're giving him nutrients through the IV. He," he paused and took a deep breath, "He won't be able to speak though."
