"Who says?" Gordon retorted. "In this family, you're number one, Gemma is number two, those two rascals are three and four, and I'm a distant fifth."

When it came to his family, he would always be without limits.

After convincing Gemma to finish her meal, Gordon dutifully began the little princess game. The butler brought out several princess costumes. Gemma chose her favorite, a blue gown inspired by Frozen, and then pointed at Gordon.

He instantly understood. "Gemma wants Daddy to wear this one?" he asked with a smile.

Gemma nodded.

"Alright, alright. Daddy will go change right now."

Gordon, ever the good sport, went to put on the dress. At over six feet tall, he looked utterly ridiculous in the magnificent gown, but the Gonzales family was used to it. Stuart and Fortune often played this game with Gemma; Gordon wasn't the first, nor would he be the last, to wear the dress.

Because his granddaughter loved it so much, Stuart had a full collection of princess gowns custom-made for her, complete with jewelry and high-end makeup sets. Keira was even more extravagant. She'd had a private amusement park built just for her three great-grandchildren.

Seeing her father in her favorite dress, Gemma clapped excitedly. She then picked up a wig and placed it on Gordon's head. Next came the makeup. A child has no concept of a gentle touch. As she applied the foundation, she slapped his face so hard the sound echoed in the room. By the time she was done, he didn't even need blush; his cheeks were already swollen and red, a color the foundation couldn't hide.

After applying lipstick and eyeshadow, Gemma held up a small mirror to Gordon's face, then took out her iPad. The familiar Siri voice asked, "Daddy, am I pretty?"

Gordon stared at his reflection—the blue eyeshadow, the black eyeliner winged out to his temples, the blood-red lips—and lied through his teeth. "So pretty! Gemma did the prettiest makeup ever."

Caitlin came over, laughing so hard she had to hold her sides. "Our Gemma is a true artist. Daddy, you're so beautiful Mommy almost doesn't recognize you."

Gemma beamed with pride, holding up the iPad to take a selfie with Gordon.

Staring at his own ‘ethereally beautiful' face in the screen, Gordon sighed internally.

"Let me see it."

The owner retrieved a heavier, more solid-looking shovel from the back of the shelf. "This one is expensive, but the quality is top-notch! And it's incredibly sharp. Ma'am, are you just getting the shovel? Do you need a tent for camping, or maybe a barbecue grill?"

Elsa was about to say no, but the words changed on her lips. "Yes, I'll take those too."

"Great! Let me show you some options."

"No need. Just give me the most expensive ones you have." Elsa's gaze sharpened. "Do you have fishing rods?"

"We do."

"I'll take one fishing rod," she said, her eyes glinting with a vicious light. "And a really sharp knife. The kind you'd use to break down a side of beef."
