Just as Louie pulled out his phone to call for an ambulance, Elsa caught him off guard, pressing another cloth over his nose.
By the time Louie realized something was wrong with Elsa, his consciousness was already fading.
An unknown amount of time passed before Gertrude slowly opened her eyes.
The first thing she saw was Effie sitting across from her.
Realization dawned. She tried to stand but was shocked to find she was tied up and couldn't move at all.
Louie was right beside her.
"Louie, Louie!" Gertrude called out anxiously.
Louie's eyes were tightly shut; he didn't respond.
"You're finally awake. I've been waiting for you," Elsa said.
Gertrude stared at the woman in front of her. "Elsa! It's you, isn't it?!"
Elsa let out a soft laugh and pulled down her mask. "Yes, it's me."
She had waited for Gertrude to wake up just to see her reaction.
Gertrude's eyes narrowed. "What do you want?"
Elsa produced a fruit knife from behind her back. "As you can see, I'm here to send you to the afterlife."
A chill ran down Gertrude's spine. She had never seen Elsa look so alien.
"You're insane!" Gertrude exclaimed. "Murder gets you life in prison! If you leave my house right now, I can, for old times' sake, agree not to press charges."
"Old times' sake? Did we ever have that?" Elsa chuckled. "Besides, I've already killed three people. Adding you two just means I won't be going to hell alone."
"Why?" Elsa's demeanor suddenly turned manic. "Gertrude, you have the nerve to ask me why? I'm in this position because of you and Caitlin! You drove me to this! If you two had just been willing to help me, do you really think I'd be this desperate?"
With that, Elsa raised the knife, crying out, "Gertrude, I'm going to kill you!"
Gertrude squeezed her eyes shut in terror.
Just then, Louie's eyes snapped open. "Elsa! If you're going to kill someone, kill me first!"
Elsa froze for a second, then her gaze shifted to Louie, a smirk playing on her lips. "Don't worry. After I'm done with Gertrude, you're next. You two can have a nice reunion in hell."
Gertrude immediately cried out, "Elsa, this is between you and me! It has nothing to do with Louie! Don't you dare hurt him!"
"Hah," a sarcastic glint flashed in Elsa's eyes. "What a loving couple you are."
With that, Elsa raised the knife and plunged it viciously into Gertrude's abdomen.
