Elsa's parents simply couldn't believe their daughter would commit a home invasion and attempt murder.

It was too horrifying.

When she received the call from the police, Elsa's mother had fainted on the spot.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have taken several hours to arrive.

Grover and the other officers helped Elsa's mother to her feet. "When we entered the premises, your daughter was holding a knife and confronting the victim. Our investigation has confirmed that she impersonated a cleaner to gain entry to the victim's home! The victim is now conscious. Your daughter's guilt in this home invasion and attempted murder is supported by irrefutable evidence!"

Hearing this, Elsa's mother and father nearly fainted again.

In their eyes, Elsa was so gentle that she couldn't even watch a video of a chicken being butchered. How could she possibly kill someone?

Elsa's father took a deep breath. "Even if she did it, there has to be a motive. Officer, why would my daughter break into someone's home to kill them for no reason?"

Elsa's parents were a wreck, torn between worrying about their daughter's life and fearing the legal consequences she would face if she survived. Based on what the police were saying, it seemed Elsa was entirely at fault.

After waiting by the operating room for a while longer with no sign of the Forresters, Elsa's mother narrowed her eyes. "Those Forresters are absolute trash! Elsa is in this much trouble, and they have the nerve to hide and not even show their faces! Xander Forrester even turned off his phone!"

If Elton hadn't taken that money, Elsa could have used it to cover the $400,000 loan, and she might not have gone down this dark path.

The more Elsa's mother thought about it, the angrier she became. "When Xander finally shows up, I'm going to give him a piece of my mind! This might even be his fault."
