Caitlin smiled. "Mom, where are the babies?"

"Right here!" Carey turned the camera, revealing the three children playing in the Gonzales family's private indoor playground.

Carey and Stuart Gonzales were both there. And they weren't alone. Three other elderly family members were there as well. A whole group of adults, all watching over the three little ones.

Seeing that the children were safe, Gertrude finally let out a sigh of relief.

When Carey saw Gertrude lying in a hospital bed wearing a patient's gown, she asked with concern, "Gertrude, what happened to you? Are you sick?"

"Mom, I'll explain everything in detail when I get home tonight. For now, you and Dad just take good care of the babies."

"Alright, Freya," Carey nodded.

Elsa felt a throbbing pain in her head. When she opened her eyes, all she saw was a world of white. The sterile scent of disinfectant filled her nostrils.

Where was this? Wasn't she dead? Was this heaven?

But why would heaven smell like disinfectant?

Elsa never considered that she would go to hell. Yes, she had killed people, but she had only killed those who had wronged her. They all deserved to die! Therefore, there was no way she would go to hell.

She tried to raise a hand to her head, but she couldn't move it. It wasn't just her hand; her feet were immobile too. What was going on?

Just then, an excited voice cut through the silence. "Mr. Grover! Mr. Grover! Elsa's awake!"

Grover rushed in from outside. "Close the door. From this moment on, no one is to enter or leave this room without permission."

Grover's voice broke through her thoughts again. "Elsa, during the attack, you told the victim you had already killed three people. Tell me now, who were those three innocent victims?!"

Elsa narrowed her eyes. It seemed the police hadn't found out about the Forresters yet. Since they didn't know, and since Caitlin had decided to forgive her, all she had to do was deny it. Caitlin would surely find a way to get her out. All she had to do was wait for Caitlin to save her.

"No, I didn't kill anyone. I was just saying that to scare Gertrude!"

Grover interrogated her for a while longer but got nothing. Plus, since Elsa had just woken up, she soon lost consciousness again. Frustrated, Grover had to give up for the time being and went to the door.

"Mr. Grover, how did the interrogation with Elsa go?" Caitlin asked, walking over.

Grover looked at her and shook his head in frustration. "We got nothing. Elsa denies killing anyone and claims she only said that to frighten Gertrude."

Caitlin replied, "Mr. Grover, I suggest you investigate the Forrester family. This might be connected to them."
