The words had barely left her lips when a soft knock came at the door.

A member of the staff announced, "Ms. Cameron, Mr. Williams says there's news about Keen. He's asking for you."

Stella Cameron rose to her feet. "Let's go see."

After all, this was Williams family territory. Neither Stella nor Haynes O'Brien could possibly get information faster than they could.

As Stella and Haynes stepped out of the room, they found Foreman Richards waiting at the top of the stairs.

Seeing them emerge, Foreman asked, "Is there news about Keen?"

Haynes nodded.

Foreman's expression was tense. "Can I go with you?"

Haynes glanced at Stella.

Seeing the genuine worry on Foreman's face, Stella gave a slight nod.

"Come with us."

The tension in Foreman's shoulders eased slightly.

When they arrived in the parlor, the entire Williams family had already gathered. In addition to the family, an outsider was present: Queenie.

Israel's arm had been reset and was now immobilized in a brace.

Stella shot him a cool look. "Is your arm not hurting anymore, Israel?"

Israel's face stiffened, and he immediately pointed a finger at her, shouting, "Dad, Jonathan, Coleman, you have no idea how awful she was! She had that pretty boy of hers twist my arm until it broke! And she slapped Queenie! Queenie's face is still swollen. She's our guest, a Burton, and Stella treated her like that. After everything Mr. Burton did for her, backing her up, giving her resources… She's nothing but a heartless, ungrateful snake!"

At that moment, Queenie was sitting beside Aurora Williams. Her cheek was badly swollen, the faint outline of five fingers still visible. Her expression was cold, but her eyes flickered almost imperceptibly over to Haynes.

Stella caught the subtle movement and a cold smirk touched her lips. If Queenie had bothered with some ice or ointment, the swelling would have been gone by now. Instead, she was parading it around—a tactic no more sophisticated than Rachel Pearce's.

As expected, Israel's words drew everyone's attention to Queenie. Seeing her red, swollen cheek, they all frowned. Queenie was a Burton; she wasn't someone you could just slap around. For Stella to do so in public was outrageously arrogant.

Jonathan's voice was stern. "Stella, regardless of the reason, violence is never the answer. Apologize to Ms. Burton at once!"
