Leonard noticed her cautious posture and his gaze darkened.

He quickly spoke. "Relax, I'm not interested in your hands anymore."

Stella looked up, meeting his eyes. "You're not interested in my hands now? Then what are you interested in?"

Leonard's deep gaze settled on her. He parted his lips and uttered a single sentence.

"Right now, I'm quite interested in you."

To this, Stella had only one response.

"You're insane."

Leonard paid no mind to her words. Instead, he said, "I saw you with a drawing board at the hospital last time. Your hands... they don't seem to affect your ability to paint?"

At the repeated mention of her hands, Stella's expression turned frigid.

"Leonard, what are you trying to do?"

Ever since he began suspecting that Summer might be Stella, Leonard had been searching for any and all clues. He had even gone back through Summer's social media posts and their email exchanges from a while back. The conversations alone weren't enough to confirm that Summer was Stella. But he had noticed a few key points in their timeline.

During the long period when Summer hadn't replied to his emails, Stella had apparently been on a business trip with Joshua. And a few days ago, when Summer had said she was busy and wouldn't be in touch for a while, Stella had been dealing with the stock dispute.

Leonard had barely slept, his mind consumed with thoughts of Summer. He wasn't sure why he was so obsessed with this matter. A little while ago, he had seen Stella and Joshua leaving the building to get something to eat. He didn't know what possessed him, but he had followed them.

Joshua was deliberately hitting him where it hurt. Given Leonard's violent temper, Stella expected him to fly into a rage at the jab, maybe even pull a gun. However, Leonard didn't react as she feared. Instead, he suddenly smiled.

"Why so tense? You act like you're afraid someone's going to steal her from you. Joshua, that's not like you."

Joshua ignored Leonard's taunt. "If you've said what you need to say, Mr. Lerman, then you should get going. Don't be an eyesore here. You should know you're not welcome."

Leonard shot him a look but didn't leave. Instead, he found a table not far from theirs and sat down.
