By the time Aurora Williams received the news, Jonathan's body had essentially fully recovered.

Upon hearing it, she couldn't help but chuckle softly to herself.

"To think father kept even me in the dark... It seems he doesn't trust me all that much either.

He isn't just guarding against Stella; he's guarding against me, too."

Sherman Burton, standing nearby, offered, "Aurora, whatever you need help with, I'm absolutely at your service."

He paused, his gaze softening as it landed on her abdomen.

"Aurora, whether this child is mine or not, I will treat it as my own."

Aurora merely curled her lips into a faint smile, remaining silent.

Aside from Leonard Lerman, Sherman was the most genuine man she had.

Unfortunately, his abilities were limited, and there was very little he could actually do to help her.

Even when Leonard's position had been unstable, he had still been far more capable than Sherman.

Aurora was already beginning to regret cutting ties with Leonard so completely.

If she hadn't, she could still be using him, and Stella wouldn't have been able to exploit the gap.

Now, Sellers Burton was practically a cripple, far worse off than Leonard had ever been.

While McCoy Chapman also cared for her, he prioritized his parents and relatives. He would never risk his entire family to support her.

Aurora didn't think highly of Sherman's skills, but having learned her lesson with Leonard, she didn't completely shut him down.

"Thank you, Sherman."

Sherman looked at her earnestly. "Now that Jonathan is awake, and Joshua seems to have broken up with Stella and left Solmaris, we have a chance.

Without Joshua backing her, Stella can't beat us."

Aurora nodded. That was the only piece of good news in all of this.

She trailed off, letting the silence hang heavy.

Having narrowly escaped death, Jonathan now harbored a deep-seated hatred for Stella.

As far as he was concerned, she had intentionally tried to end his life.

His gaze turned predatory. "This time, I won't care about family ties either."

Aurora said, "Jonathan, Stella made a lot of moves while you were in that coma... Most of the company's shareholders have shifted their support to her.

It won't be easy for you to win them back."

She paused, then added, "However, I can beg father to transfer the shares he took from me over to you as compensation.

Since Stella struck the first blow, father will definitely agree in order to maintain peace among us siblings.

Combined with Coleman's shares, you might just have the leverage to stand against her.
