Chapter 378: Chapter 378 : On a Date (1)

In the royal palace of the Avaloria Empire, inside the largest and most luxurious room.

A silver‑haired boy was standing in front of a massive gilded mirror.

He was wearing a very expensive three‑piece suit that looked ravishing on him, tailored perfectly to highlight his broad shoulders, toned physique, and athletic build. The dark fabric gleamed subtly, silver cufflinks catching the light, a crisp white shirt underneath with a slim black tie knotted flawlessly.

He tied his long silver hair back into a neat ponytail.

Alex looked himself up in the mirror at least ten times, striking a pose—tilting his head, flexing slightly.

In a low voice, he said, "Why do I need to become a god? I’m sure I can already take the position of God of Beauty."

He smirked. "But those useless gods just won’t admit it."

He glanced at the time. It was already 4 PM.

"Alright," he murmured. "Time to go."

He exited his room, walking toward the exit.

Several maids carrying trays almost dropped everything they held. Some became dazed, staring openly.

Ignoring them, Alex exited the palace.

In a low voice, he said, "Erwin, you’re here, right?"

Just as he said that, Erwin materialized from the shadows.

He handed Alex a set of keys. "The Ferrari is parked just outside, Your Majesty. It’s brand new, as per your order. It’s been made according to the customizations you instructed."

Alex smiled. "Good work, Erwin. You are the only useful guy here."

Erwin bowed. "Your words honor me."

"Alright," Alex said. "I’m off to enjoy myself." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Make sure to keep things safe here while I’m gone. And also help Lucas prepare for the banquet."

Erwin bowed low. "As you command."

Alex touched the Ferrari—a sleek, custom beast of black and silver, curves aerodynamic, engine humming with mana‑infused power, windows tinted dark.

"Now this is what I’m talking about," he said.

He entered the Ferrari and started it. The engine roared like a beast awakening.

Looking toward Erwin, Alex said, "Alright, my friend. See you soon."

He drove off.

Erwin watched him go. "I wish you happiness, my king... just like you brought it to everyone else."

Alex drove off, enjoying the scenes outside of the capital.

The streets bustled peacefully, fields rolled green under the sun, distant mountains framed the horizon. It gave him a deep sense of peace and accomplishment.

"I really am the greatest, aren’t I?" he murmured.

He drove toward the Crestvale Manor.

In ten minutes, he reached their manor—a huge mansion sprawling across acres of manicured land, fountains sparkling, gardens blooming, walls high and imposing.

First, the guards stopped him.

But when they saw who was inside the car, the color drained from their faces. They bowed low. "Forgive me for stopping you, Your Majesty! It’s just, on the Duke’s orders, security has been increased."

Alex sighed. "I don’t have time for you. Just open the gates. I have a date, okay."

The gates opened.

Alex entered the manor.

As he walked into the mansion, maids scurried to greet him.

Serena shooed them away.

She looked toward Alex. "Wow, you look particularly ravishing today, Alex."

Alex grinned. "Well, I did have a date tonight."

Suddenly Reynard came and, looking toward Alex, clicked his tongue. "What are you here for? Don’t you have work as a king? Or do you just laze around?"

Alex’s mouth twitched. "Well, as part of my work, I have come to take your precious daughter on a date, old man."

This time Reynard’s mouth fell open.

"What did you say...?"

Serena fixed Reynard with an icy gaze. He flinched.
