Denny coldly stated, "When I say you are mentally ill, that's final."

Upon hearing that, Laslo furrowed his brows and sported a troubled look. "I'm not sick, Mr. Rouse. I'm perfectly healthy."

Denny's face fell, exuding an intimidating presence as he asked, "Wasn't it me who got you the job as the security captain, Laslo?"

Laslo was taken aback. He certainly got the job because of Denny. They used to be schoolmates, and that was how he ended up in this position.

Looking at Denny, Laslo felt hesitant with his words.

As he was zoning out, Denny followed up with another question. "Say something, Laslo. I hooked you up with such a great job, don't you have anything to say?"

Realizing Denny's tone was a bit off, Laslo quickly responded, "You're the reason I got this job. Without your help, there's no way I'd have landed such a good position."

Truth be told, Laslo really liked the job as the security captain at the hospital. He got to enjoy the benefits of having insurance, a bunch of perks, and a healthcare discount as an employee.

Being a security guard here was much better than in other places. However, it also came with a drawback—Denny always bossed him around, giving him many errands to do.

Denny always made Laslo buy breakfast, get cigarettes, and deliver packages. To make matters worse, Denny even had him deliver condoms at midnight. But he put up with it for the job.

Things got totally out of hand after that. Denny started using him as a hired thug. That was the last straw for him.

After getting into a fight, Laslo was shaken for a long while because it was hard to pull his punches. In particular, when things got heated, it was easy to go too far and seriously hurt his opponents. Then, he'd be looking at jail time.

Laslo made a promise to himself. If Denny made him beat up someone, he'd turn it down.

Denny snorted. "You're not that dumb. At least you realize who got you this job. I'll fill you in about what's going to happen today.

"Here's the mental disorder diagnosis for each of you. Even though you're all healthy, you're all considered medically ill from the legal perspective. If you end up seriously hurting or even killing someone, you won't face criminal charges."

Upon hearing that, Laslo was shocked, gaping at Denny. His thinking was truly out of the box. He had come up with a way to avoid facing criminal charges.
