She hugged her and kissed her, “Okay, don’t be angry…” 

Isabella was still very upset, but seeing Maggie kiss her, half of her anger subsided, and she felt even more aggrieved. 

She suddenly started crying and made another request, “Then… you… you can’t hug her anymore, and you can’t say she’s cute!” 

Maggie finally understood why she was upset. 

It turned out, she was jealous. 

Although she didn’t want Maggie to be her mom anymore, when someone else tried to take

Not answering directly, Maggie kissed her again and comforted her, pulling both children a

You like being cool and handsome, but some people also like being sweet and cute, like 

Tommy.

Maggie knew that her daughter was very smart. 

What she said might be hard for other kids to understand, but Isabella would certainly get

But she just couldn’t stand seeing Maggie being nice to other kids. 

She pouted, silent. 

Maggie ruffled her hair and gently wiped her tears with a handkerchief, “It’s okay to make 

mistakes, as long as you correct them. But you can’t say those things about others again, 

alright?” 

Seeing that Maggie was still being so kind to her, Isabella calmed down a little, hugged her, 

and nodded, sniffling, “Got it.” 

Maggie smiled, kissed her cheek, then turned to Tommy, “Tommy, this is Bella, my 

daughter. She knows she was wrong. Will you forgive her?” 

Tommy was a bit scared of Isabella, but since Maggie was so gentle with her, and Tommy 

liked Maggie, she nodded obediently, “Mm, I will.” 

“Thank you, Tommy.” Maggie smiled and looked at her daughter, “Bella, what should you 

do?” 

Isabella looked up from Maggie’s arms, “I’m sorry.” 

Tommy shyly smiled, “It’s… it’s okay…” 

With everything finally settled, Maggie breathed a sigh of relief and took both children to 

the classroom.

The homeroom teacher led Tommy away, and Maggie squatted down to look at her 

daughter, gently saying, “Alright, it’s all good now. Let’s go to the classroom, okay?” 

Isabella wasn’t shy or afraid of what others might think about her pushing and insulting 

others. She wasn’t the type to be timid. 

She didn’t care what the other kids thought of her. 

Suddenly, though, she felt reluctant to let go of Maggie. She held on tight and whispered, 

“Mom…” 

“Mm.” Maggie hugged her back, “What’s wrong?”

She hadn’t had Maggie’s cooking in a while and suddenly missed it. 

But before she could say anything, she remembered that Maggie would be going to see 

Julia’s competition in the evening. 

Her eyes flickered, and she let go of Maggie, “Never mind.” 

She could eat her mom’s food whenever she wanted, but Julia’s competition wasn’t 

something that happened every day. 

Without hesitation, she chose Julia. 

“Alright, go on inside. Don’t keep the teacher waiting.” 

“Mm.” 

Isabella finally let go of her mother, but before entering the classroom, she couldn’t resist 

looking back and saying, “Mom, remember to call me at noon.” 

Maggie nodded, “Okay.” 

Only then did Isabella feel at ease and walk confidently into the classroom.

Maggie watched her stand on the stage, giving her self–introduction with confidence, then 

sit down obediently in her seat. She waved her hand before leaving the school, heading for Wilson Group to work. 

When she arrived at the company, she didn’t see Franklin, but she did see Jake bringing someone to her desk. 

“This is Sherry. She will be taking over your position soon.”
