Kate's eyes lit up as she blurted out, "Oh my god! Mr. Lowe's actually out on a date with another woman!"

Noelle was thrilled. Nathan skipping the party had already been a pleasant surprise, but this photo was even better!

Then, her phone rang.

She picked up. "Hello."

The same familiar male voice came through. "Are you happy with the photo?"

"More than happy," Noelle said, her voice sharp with excitement. "Tonight is Roger's birthday party. Not only did Nathan not show up, but he's also out on a date with some woman. If this gets out to Roger and everyone here, Ivy's done for! She won't be able to recover from it."

"My people already checked," the man said. "Nathan's overseas on a business trip. Right now, he's having dinner at a steakhouse with a woman. From what I hear, they're pretty close. Definitely not just business."

"I got it. Thanks for this," Noelle replied.

He chuckled. "No need. Kate's my daughter, after all."

Noelle replied, "Don't worry. I'll make it worth your while when this is over."

They hung up.

Kate leaned in, unable to wait. "Mom, what do we do now?"

Noelle stared at the photo on her screen, a calculating look in her eyes. "We use it. We make sure this blows up and hits Ivy where it hurts most."

Kate grinned. "I can't wait! Let's do it!"

Ivy had no idea what was coming. After Nathan left for his overseas trip, they hadn't been in touch, so she had no clue what he was doing.

The party was already underway when Ivy walked in, her long dress trailing softly behind her.

Her entrance immediately drew attention.

"Look, Ms. Quinn's here!"

"Their relationship's the kind people dream about."

"Roger, you're lucky to have a granddaughter like her and a grandson-in-law like that."

Roger couldn't stop smiling. "You're all too kind."

Tabitha stepped closer to Ivy, her pride impossible to hide.

Just then, Edric returned. He wasn't close to Ivy, so his greeting came out a little stiff. "Hello, Ivy."

"Dad." Ivy nodded.

On the surface, everything looked warm and harmonious.

Nathan still hadn't shown up.

Roger's smile started to tighten as impatience crept in. "Ivy, what's going on? Why isn't Nathan here yet? Everyone's waiting."
