"Are you okay?" I asked Jordan, looking at him. His wounds were shallow and had been treated. "Will this affect your company?"

"Don't worry, it's not a big deal. But Nicholas will need stitches."

"Stitches are too lenient. I hope he ends up scarred for life."

Jordan suddenly smiled. "Now that's more like it."

"What?"

"This is the real you. How long has it been since you said something this defiant? Say a few more. I want to hear it."

"Screw business. It's all a bunch of liars."

"What else?"

"Meat prices have gone up again. How am I supposed to live?"

"Good, keep going."

"Screw overtime. I just want to stay home, watch TV, and sleep."
