Osa's POV

I woke up with a start. Adrenaline still poured through me as the memories from the nightmare flashed through my mind. Gulping, I throw my leg over and stand, slowly opening the door to walk to the kitchen.

I find Valesco there and I tiptoe back behind the wall, eyeing him.

He sat, one hand supporting his head as his eyes fell and opened quickly. I frown, walking out and standing in front of him.

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" He jumps nearly falling off the stool and I raise an eyebrow.

"I am fine." He murmurs curtly.

"You're falling asleep," I mumble and he gives me a flat look.

"I am aware of that." He rolls his eyes and I just back away, and walk towards the refrigerator.

"Why are you up?" He asks.

"Bad dream." I shrug and he nods.

"I understand. ."

"I have insomnia." He murmurs after awhile and I eye him as he runs his hand over his face. "I can't sleep, even if I want to. And clearly, I want to."

"That sounds awful." I murmur sitting next to him and he looks down at me.

"It is." He states.

"What is it. . that encouraged you to pursue this career?" I distract him and he chuckles.

"I didn't pursue this career. I was born into it. My father was the previous mafia leader, but he passed."

"I'm sorry," I tell him, thinking of my own father.

"He was great, he was like me. I don't want to be here, but I have to. And he died trying to get me out." He sighs and I reluctantly place my hands on his.

"It's not easy to get out of a thing like this is it?" I say more to myself than him but he shakes his head.

"Its hell. But I'm here now, making a difference." His face grows into a smile and before I could ask he flips my hand over. My eyes widen as I pull them away. "I was wondering why it was so rough."

"Please don't." One of my worst fears, being seen had just become a reality.

I mean sure, I did it in an obvious place but it was always, hidden. Long sleeves, gloves, you name it, I had it, no matter the weather.

"You do this to yourself no?" He asks, eyeing my hand and I stand.

"Goodnight," I mumble, ignoring his question and sprinting to my room.

"Just wait till Benjamin finds out." He murmurs, but I barely catch it so he must've said something else.

"Where's the guy that grabbed me last night?"

"That's Frankie . . . he doesn't live here." James shrug and I nod.

All of them looked the same, they were tall, had suits and a scowl.

"Do you guys ever smile?" I wonder and Valesco looks amused as Benjamin's jaw ticks. "Do you know that, um, frowning can give you wrinkles early?" Our food arrives and everyone just ignores me as I babble.

"Don't you feel hot?" Tucker queries. Since yesterday, I requested long-sleeved shirts and I kept my palm hidden.

Valesco gives me a knowing look before returning to his food.

"No." Is all I say and I swear every one goes curious by my sudden lack of speech.

"Benjamin will show you around the house today." Valesco breaks the silence and Benjamin drops his fork.

"What? No! There's over-"

"I said, Benjamin. And Benjamin will do it." Valesco says with authority and I frown as Benjamin stands with force and walks out.

"If he doesn't want to do-" Valesco raises his hand.

"It's not his choice."
