Olivia?

Stella squinted, not trusting her own eyes at first. Was that really Olivia standing there, dressed head to toe in a black server’s uniform? She hadn’t seen or heard anything about the Main family since Steven landed in prison, and Olivia had completely dropped off her radar. The Olivia she remembered was spoiled, always acting like she was above everyone else. There was no way she’d ever settle for a job like this.

But as soon as Stella recognized her, Olivia recognized Stella, too. Any trace of awkwardness on Olivia’s face disappeared in an instant, replaced by a cold, mocking smirk.

“So, it’s you,” Olivia said, her voice dripping with disdain. Charlotte’s little shadow.

She glanced around, then leaned in a little closer. “You do realize this is Cabinda’s most exclusive club, right? People like you don’t just walk in.”

Olivia picked up a glass from the floor and looked Stella up and down, her smile sharp as a knife. “Guess it pays off to cling to someone powerful, huh?”

Stella just stared her down, eyes icy and unblinking. If Charlotte didn’t like someone, neither did she. Especially not Olivia, who had made Charlotte’s life hell more times than Stella could count.

Olivia seemed to feed off the silence, growing bolder by the second. She took a step closer, lips curling. “Let me guess. You batted those pretty eyes at some rich guy and snuck in here, didn’t you?”

Stella pressed her lips together, fighting back the anger boiling inside her. “You should watch your mouth.”

“Oh, did I hit a nerve?” Olivia taunted, raising her eyebrows, meeting Stella’s glare without a hint of fear. “You two really are the same. Charlotte just got back to Cabinda and immediately latched onto Anthony. If she didn’t have powerful people backing her, do you really think she could be so arrogant?”

Just saying Charlotte’s name made Olivia’s eyes flash with hatred. “If it weren’t for Anthony, she wouldn’t have survived half as long as she has. She’d be nothing.”

“Shut up,” Stella snapped, her voice suddenly sharp.
