"I've missed my sister twice now, all because of stupid accidents. And now I can't find her," Kenneth muttered, rifling through his bag for his phone. "If I don't track her down soon, my dad is going to chew me out. Probably through the phone, but still."

Everyone knew that, apart from Nine, X Organization could find anyone. Kenneth's frustration built up as he kept searching, until he finally dumped everything out of his bag onto the sofa. Everything was there, except for his phone. That phone had the only recent photo of his sister. He tried to remember when he’d lost it, and guessed it must have fallen out when he was dodging those crazy fans earlier.

"Damn it!" Kenneth punched the air, feeling like fate was playing some twisted joke on him.

"If you don't have a picture, just describe some obvious features," Anthony said, checking the time and frowning a little.

Kenneth hesitated, thinking it over before he answered. "She’s around seventeen or eighteen, kind of tall, long arms and legs, black hair, black eyes…"

Anthony just stared at him. Was this guy for real?

"And, uh, she’s really beautiful," Kenneth added quietly, almost mumbling to himself. "Like, really pretty. That’s… pretty much it." He couldn’t think of any other way to describe her. Her beauty was what made her stand out. In a crowd, she’d always catch people’s eyes.

Anthony didn’t bother hiding his impatience. He stood up and headed for the door. "My girl’s pretty shy. I’m going to go look for her."

Kenneth rolled his eyes and cursed Anthony in his heart. Choosing a girl over a friend. Typical.

He didn’t have long to stew, though. Suddenly, the manager’s anxious voice rang out from the hallway.

So this was Anthony’s type. Definitely not what Kenneth expected.

Anthony stood to the side, arms crossed, a faint smile on his face. His dark eyes never left Charlotte as she calmly wiped her hands clean. He’d already been surprised when he saw her fight at school, but clearly, he’d still underestimated her.

"Anthony, is this the shy girl you were talking about?" Kenneth whispered, frowning as he stood beside him. "Honestly, she’s nothing compared to my sister. If you don’t pick my sister, you’re going to regret it."

Just as the words left his mouth, Charlotte turned around, her cool gaze locking right onto him.
