Anthony looked up when he heard the sound.

The first thing he saw was a striking shade of red. Charlotte stood there in a tailored cheongsam that hugged every curve, her slim waist and long legs accentuated perfectly as she moved in the soft light. For a moment, Anthony could do nothing but stare. The way she carried herself was almost hypnotic.

“Hold still. Let me help you,” he said, setting aside what he was doing and getting up to stand behind her. His eyes traced over her silhouette, noting how her already fair skin seemed to glow even brighter in that red dress.

One word floated through his mind: irresistible.

“Does it look bad?” Charlotte asked. She wasn’t used to wearing something like this, and it felt awkward. When she saw Anthony just standing there, she frowned, a little embarrassed. “Should I change? I’m not comfortable anyway.”

“It looks amazing,” Anthony said right away. He gently brushed her loose strands of hair aside. His gaze was intense, and his lips brushed softly against the delicate shell of her ear as he spoke, his voice husky. “You look incredible in this.”

“Really?” Charlotte tried to sound casual, but she glanced down at her stomach, lips pursed. The dress was thoughtfully designed, and since her pregnancy was still in the early stages, it didn’t show.

“Really,” Anthony answered, voice low. His lips trailed lower, his breath warm as it skimmed her skin, clearly teasing her on purpose.

Eventually, he paused at the custom diamond zipper, catching it gently with his teeth and pulling it up with aching slowness.

“Lottie, you look good in everything,” he said.

Charlotte caught his reflection in the mirror. Her cheeks flushed, and she turned to face him, catching his heated stare. Her fingertips brushed his shoulder and a small, teasing smile played on her lips. “Even now?”

“Always,” Anthony replied, wrapping his arms around her, drawing her close, his tall frame lowering toward her. “Every inch of you is beautiful.”

Charlotte laughed softly and slipped away, flashing him a mischievous look as she went. “Then I’d better try on the rest. Enjoy the view.”
