'Her name is Ophelia.'

Hearing the names the man had chosen, Charlotte arched an eyebrow from the bed.

Frederick and Ophelia. It was obvious he had spent considerable time finding names that matched perfectly, weaving their bond into their children's identities.

The older man sure knew how to be romantic.

'Got it.'

The doctor noted it down, bowing slightly before exiting.

The room was left with a slightly guilty Charlotte and two deeply slumbering infants.

'Mrs. Blair, care to explain yourself?'

Anthony laid Ophelia gently into her crib and draped a soft blanket over her. 'When exactly did you find out it was a girl?'

'Two months in.'

Charlotte didn't try to hide it. She rested her fingers against his chest, playfully twisting one of his buttons with a deep smile. 'Are you happy, Anthony?'

'Do I look happy to you?'

Anthony braced his hands on either side of her shoulders, his throat working nervously. His dark eyes swirled with a chaotic storm of emotions. 'Do you have any idea how dangerous that was, Mrs. Blair?'

One minor complication, and all three of them could have died.

How could she take such a risk.

'Relax.'

Charlotte stretched lazily, smiling back. 'Weren't you the one desperately wanting a daughter?'

Hearing her words, Anthony paused for a beat, his red-rimmed eyes locked onto her. 'A daughter isn't as important as you,' he rasped out.

If he had to choose between her and the children... he wouldn't hesitate for a fraction of a second.

There was absolutely nothing in this world more important to him than her.

Seeing the sheer terror lingering on his face, Charlotte wet her dry lips and answered seriously, 'I know my limits. I wasn't about to play the martyr and get myself killed for a baby.'

'Okay.'

Seeing how high-strung he was, Charlotte couldn't help but smile.

Once she finished eating, she lay back to rest.

Worried she might get bored, Anthony even pulled up a game on her phone. 'You only get half an hour, otherwise it will strain your eyes.'

'Ugh.'

Charlotte frowned, complaining in dissatisfaction. 'You're so bossy.'

'Be good, it's for your own well-being.'

Anthony leaned down to kiss her, coaxing her with infinite patience. 'Once you've recovered a bit, I'll go buy you boba tea.'

Hearing this, Charlotte muttered, shooting him a look. 'That's more like it.'

Just then, a cry broke out from the crib behind them.
