What?
She was going to step in as a substitute for the music video?
If they hadn't been in a room full of people, Reba would have thrown her head back and laughed out loud.
Was this a joke?
This was a professional set, not her childhood bedroom where she could throw a tantrum and get whatever she wanted!
The director was notoriously strict. Even if she was a medical prodigy or the CEO's wife—hell, even if she were royalty—if she wasn't up to par, he would kick her out.
It looked like this spoiled princess was trying to throw her weight around.
Pathetic!
Absolutely pathetic!
The director jerked his head up, staring at her in complete disbelief. His eyes held confusion, but mostly, they held pure contempt.
"Ms. Charlotte, was it?"
He took a deep breath, suppressing his fury as he spoke with biting coldness. "Do you think my music videos are some kindergarten talent show where anyone can jump in just to make up the numbers?"
"I don't care what your titles are, or how much Kenneth spoils you."
"On my set, the album and the video are the only things that matter."
"If you really care about your brother, you'd step aside and let Reba take the lead so he actually has a shot at winning an award."
At those words, Charlotte turned her head, her gaze drifting lazily over to Reba. Her eyes narrowed dangerously. "You want this?"
"I..."
Reba opened her mouth, then snapped it shut.
Of course she did.
But she wasn't about to admit her ambition in front of the whole crew.
"Keep dreaming."
Charlotte chuckled darkly, pulling her gaze away to look back at the director. Her tone was casual. "How about this. I'll run through the routine with them right now to ease your concerns."
"If it's flawless, we keep shooting."
"Guess we're about to find out!"
"Clear the floor," Charlotte instructed, pulling out her loose hair tie and grabbing a black baseball cap from a nearby table, pulling it low over her eyes. "I'll take Polly's spot. Everyone else, standard formation."
Hearing her direct orders, the dancers snapped out of their daze. Their eyes were wide with shock.
Was she really going to dance?!
"Positions," Charlotte commanded, her tone turning strict as she noticed them staring at her in disbelief. "Did you not hear me?"
"Yes! Yes!"
The girls nodded frantically like a flock of startled chickens, scrambling into their places beside her, their minds completely blank.
The crew quickly backed away, giving them the entire floor.
"Hmph," Reba scoffed quietly, a mocking smirk tugging at her lips.
She sure looked the part...
It was going to be hilarious watching her flop around like a dying fish.
