"Madam, Sir, you're back."
Seeing the affectionate couple, Helen dried her hands and smiled warmly. "Oh? Did the young master and young miss not come back with you?"
"Yeah."
Anthony tightened his grip on Charlotte, his lips curling into a wicked smile. "Frederick and Ophelia are staying at their grandparents' house tonight."
"?"
Hearing this, Helen froze for two seconds.
Ever since the two little darlings were born, whenever Anthony wasn't working, he was the one taking care of them.
He even brought them along when he went out to see his wife.
How could he bear to send them to the estate today?
And for the whole night!
"No need to prepare dinner. Everyone in the villa gets to clock out early today."
Before Helen could process this, Anthony's voice rang out again.
"Ah?"
Helen stood stunned for a moment. Then, looking at the wife in his arms, it dawned on her. "Yes, Sir. I'll notify everyone immediately."
"Mm."
Anthony nodded and carried his wife upstairs.
"Hurry up, hurry up! We're off the clock."
Watching the two leave, Helen hurriedly took off her apron and began ushering everyone out. "Drop whatever you're doing. Everyone needs to leave the premises in ten minutes."
"Come back tomorrow morning... after ten o'clock."
"Yes."
The maids were a bit bewildered, but the prospect of getting off work early had them happily packing their things.
In less than ten minutes.
The entire villa fell dead silent.
Anthony carried Charlotte into the master bedroom and smoothly locked the door behind them.
"..."
Charlotte struggled slightly, wanting to be put down, but the man held her too tightly.
"How about we take off your makeup first, then get you in the bath?"
Anthony caught her slender ankle. His eyes narrowed dangerously, a meaningful smirk playing on his lips as he replied huskily, "Your husband isn't tough."
Was he supposed to let his little swan fly away when she was already in his grasp?
"The water's about ready."
With that, Anthony reached out to touch Charlotte's top.
"..."
Charlotte tightened her lips, her face scrunching up in defeat.
Since the hard approach wasn't working, she'd have to try the soft one.
"Anthony..."
Charlotte leaned forward, naturally resting her hands on the man's broad shoulders to stop his movements. Her red lips parted. "Let me tell you a story."
"..."
Anthony's dark eyes narrowed slightly. He looked at her with pure indulgence, his expression fond. "Alright, let's hear it."
He wanted to see what kind of trick she was trying to pull today.
"Once upon a time, there was a little duckling trying to line up, trying desperately to match the duck in front of it, but it just couldn't get it right. So it shouted loudly..."
