Class C.

A group of girls clustered together, voices bubbling with excitement. Olivia’s name kept popping up in their conversation, followed by words like amazing, so lucky, she’s definitely going to win something.

Charlotte stepped into the classroom, her eyes scanning the room with a chilly indifference. In an instant, the lively chatter faded away. It was obvious she was in a bad mood today. Her face was strikingly beautiful but so cold that it almost seemed dangerous.

Andrew, Parrish, and Shirley shuffled to the side, watching her nervously, none of them brave enough to break the silence.

Charlotte made her way to her seat, eyes lowered as she pulled out the milk Anthony had packed for her. She took a few sips, and only then did the icy edge in her expression soften a little.

Once her stormy mood seemed to pass, Andrew finally stretched his neck, voice tentative. “Charlotte, what happened to you?”

Her face said it all. That look in her eyes was downright scary.

“I ran into a dog at the school gate,” Charlotte replied, dropping into her chair. She looked over at Shirley and nodded. “What I promised you is in my bag.”

“Huh?” Shirley blinked and reached into Charlotte’s backpack, feeling a neat stack of something smooth. Photos, maybe?

The second she realized what it was, Shirley’s eyes went wide and sparkled with excitement. Could these be photos of Kenneth?

She pulled them out in a hurry. The first photo was Kenneth, stretched out on a sofa, gazing at the camera with dreamy eyes. Oh my god. It really was Kenneth. And he wasn’t even wearing a shirt.

Shirley’s heart skipped a beat as she flipped through the stack. There were so many. Each photo was hotter than the last, and some of them were seriously bold. Even better, every single one was signed.

“Sure, he’s got a nice body. But his face…” Andrew trailed off, feeling weirdly annoyed.

Charlotte, still sipping her milk, slowly turned her head to look at him. Her eyes narrowed in warning. “What about his face?”

Andrew met Charlotte’s look, and a chill ran through him. Suddenly, he realized something. Kenneth actually looked a lot like Charlotte. If Kenneth wore makeup, they’d probably be seventy percent alike.

Andrew forced a laugh. “His face is good, too. Just… Anthony is on a whole different level.”

Shirley hugged her photos tighter, at a loss for words for a moment. That was actually true, though. She’d seen Anthony once in the office… he was perfect. The looks, the body, the vibe—he had it all.

Parrish chimed in, nodding. “Anthony is like a flower growing at the edge of a cliff. No one can even get close, never mind pick it.”
