Inside the sports car, Charlotte leaned forward, searching for the seatbelt. Suddenly, Anthony’s tall frame leaned in close.

“I’ll do it,” he said.

Charlotte’s breath caught for a second. She sank back into her seat, tilting her chin up to meet his eyes. He clicked the seatbelt into place, but didn’t move away. Instead, he just stayed there, looking down at her with those dark, intense eyes.

“Didn’t you say your right hand hasn't healed yet?”

“Hm?” Charlotte replied, glancing at his almost-smile. “Yeah, but it was perfect for writing. I went slow, killed some time.”

And honestly, it was good for her hand. Better than finishing early and just sitting around, bored.

You had to be pretty confident to use an injured hand for an exam, but Charlotte never lacked confidence.

Anthony’s lips curled. He brushed a stray hair off her forehead, his voice low. “I see. So, what about your homework?”

“I can finish a few worksheets, but that’s it for now. My hand’s out of commission.” Charlotte sounded as lazy as ever, completely unapologetic.

“You do it for me.” She caught Anthony’s tie, winding it around her finger, smiling with her eyes. “Can you? Anthony?”

When she said his name like that, soft and sweet, Anthony tensed up, his breaths coming a little heavier. “And what do I get if I do your homework?”

Charlotte looked at him, tugging him closer by his tie. She pressed a quick kiss to the corner of his mouth. “That’s your payment for the next two months. Thanks in advance.”

In the soft car light, her fair skin seemed to glow, making her look even more stunning.

“No?” Anthony repeated, eyes narrowing as a slow smile spread across his lips. “So… should we keep going?”

Charlotte’s cheeks got even redder. She balled up her fist and thumped his chest, shooting him a glare. “Don’t push it.”

“How’s that pushing it?” Anthony chuckled, gently squeezing her hand. “Lottie, you’ve kissed me plenty of times. Isn’t it fair I get a turn?”

She just stared at him in silence, so he grinned and smoothed her hair. “Alright, let’s go home. I’ll do your homework.”

Just hearing the word “homework” made Charlotte grumble. She scrolled through her phone, lips pursed, and muttered, “Andrew’s homework feels way too easy.”

As soon as she said it, she started sending Anthony a bunch of worksheet photos through his social media.
