Half an hour later.
Anthony carried Charlotte into the bathroom and set her gently in front of the big mirror. Her lips pressed together, cheeks flushed a bright pink that only made her look more delicate.
He stood behind her, chin resting lightly on her shoulder. He took her hand, guiding it under the running water, and started washing it with care. The smile tugging at his lips was impossible to hide.
“Do you still think I’m old?”
Charlotte didn’t answer, just puffed her cheeks out in a stubborn pout.
Anthony couldn’t help chuckling at her cuteness. His lips curved with amusement as he lowered his voice, “Your hands are so talented, but you use them for…”
“Anthony, shut up!”
She spun around, ducked her head, and bit hard on his bare shoulder. A deep red mark appeared, Charlotte showing no mercy at all. Honestly, he spoiled her too much.
“Are you done? Or do you want a bite on this side too?” Anthony didn’t try to get away. He just wrapped one arm around her waist and pulled his shirt down on the other shoulder, inviting her to take her revenge.
Charlotte shot him a glare, exasperated. “You’re getting more and more outrageous!”
Noticing the marks he’d left on her, Anthony just grinned, unbothered. “I guess I haven’t been acting much like a decent person.”
Charlotte was left speechless.

By evening, after dinner, Anthony brought Charlotte to the villa in the city.
All afternoon, ever since the exam results came out, Andrew, Parrish, and Shirley had been huddled at Stella’s place. They sat with stacks of university guides, discussing which schools to choose.
“Yeah.” Charlotte replied casually, then winked at Stella, pretending to be serious. “They did, but neither of them offers the major I want, so I’m not planning to go.”
Her answer left both Stella and Andrew stunned.
“What major are you thinking about?” Stella asked, her surprise fading into genuine interest.
“Clinical Medicine,” Charlotte said, taking a sip of water. Her tone grew thoughtful. “Back in Lamplighter Village, Grandma knew traditional medicine. She helped so many people. But there was one time she couldn’t save someone, and their family just tore into her with insults. Do you remember that?”
Stella nodded. She remembered all too well. People had accused Grandma of witchcraft and said traditional medicine was useless, only good for making people drink weird herbal teas that didn’t really cure anything. After that, Grandma, who had taken them in and raised them, never dared to use her skills again.
“That’s why I want to study Traditional Medicine at Kingswood University,” Charlotte said, looking right at Stella. Noticing Stella’s expression, she quickly added, “It’s not because of you. It’s for Grandma.”
She wanted to make her grandmother proud. She wanted to show everyone that traditional medicine could really help people.
