Franco was sitting in the living room, peeling an orange for Nora, when he paused, stunned. He looked up slowly, as if he had misheard.
“She took out five of your cars in five seconds? And hacked the satellite surveillance?”
“…Yes,” the housekeeper admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. Even saying it felt humiliating.
Who would have guessed she was not just good at snatching things, but also this tough in a fight?
Franco was quiet for a breath or two, then a faint smile tugged at his lips. “I always thought she and Nora just shared the same eyes, but it turns out her skills are impressive. Even her personality reminds me of Nora.”
He had a feeling Nora would really like this feisty girl.

At the hotel, Charlotte stepped out of the shower, towel-drying her hair in a hurry. She dropped into a seat at the low table, pulled on a pair of gloves, and opened the box filled with little vials of medication.
She took them all out, lining them up neatly. As she stared at the vials, something clicked in her mind and she started to get up, only for her iPad to appear right in front of her.
“Looking for this?” Anthony was standing there, fresh from his own shower, wearing a loose robe and holding a hairdryer. His eyes were soft as he watched her.
“Yeah.” Charlotte sank back down, shuffled over to make room, and turned so the back of her head faced him. “Go ahead.”
Anthony grinned. He settled behind her, switched the hairdryer to a gentle setting, and started drying her hair while glancing at the vials she was organizing.
“Any progress?” he asked quietly.
“Yep.” Charlotte glanced over her shoulder, just in time to catch the open collar of his robe. She blinked, a little distracted. Lately, Anthony never seemed to wear his clothes properly. Was he doing it on purpose?
