“I know you’re busy,” Alice said calmly. “With how busy you are, I didn’t want to bother you.”

Byron looked awkward. “Didn’t I say so already? Nothing is more important than you.”

“Then I’ll go with you,” Byron said quickly. “There’s an event today anyway. I want to see how Emma’s doing.”

Seeing how eager he was, Alice gave him a knowing smile.

“Sure,” she said.

Byron instantly felt that his professors had no sense of timing.

Byron fell silent.

The university needed money. A lot of money.

Byron was so happy he nearly started dancing.

‘Ms. Spencer, I knew you were reliable,” he said excitedly.

Then he turned to the professors, who were watching eagerly.

“Go back and wait for news,” Byron said. “At most, I’ll release the funds within three days.”

Those professors still didn’t believe him.

Mainly because Byron had said things like this many times before.
