Two days later, I received a call from the police.

They said Jackson had confessed to everything, and they would be filing charges with the People's Court.

A month later, I received another notification from the police.

Jackson was sentenced to two years and seven months for illegally selling others' property in a large amount and for defamation.

As soon as the police news came out, Jackson's name topped Twitter's trending list again after a month and a half.

Well... I don't know what to say.

Nine out of ten citizens called him a "kept man," and the other one diagnosed him as an idiot.

I didn't feel sorry for him and his mother.

They were both caught in their own traps.

After Jackson's sentencing, I thought the whole thing was finally over.

Until one night, as I was leaving work, I heard someone calling my name.

I knew that voice all too well. It could only be Jackson's mother.

It had been nearly three months since I had last seen her. Her hair had turned white, her face was sallow, and she looked like she had aged by ten years.

Ignoring the curious glances from those around her, she grabbed my wrist. "Little Sun, do you remember me?"

"What do you want?" I pulled my hand away and got straight to the point.
