The wedding ceremony concluded right around eleven thirty in the morning. During the final bouquet toss, Felicia chose not to throw it. Instead, she walked over and handed the bouquet directly to Savannah. Holding the flowers, Savannah did not hesitate for a second. She turned right around and presented them to Darin. With all eyes on them, Darin reached out and accepted the bouquet from her hands. In that magical moment, Savannah could not resist stepping up on her tiptoes to press a sweet kiss to the man's cheek. Instantly, a roaring round of applause broke out from the surrounding crowd.
Finally, after all the group photos were taken, Max accompanied Felicia inside so she could change into her reception dress.
While Ivy was busy greeting the guests, someone accidentally bumped into her. She lost her balance and stumbled backward. The next second, a strong, solid arm wrapped firmly around her shoulders, catching her fall. Ivy gasped in surprise. She turned her head and immediately saw Jeremy. The man's gentle voice sounded in her ear, "Be careful."
Ivy steadied herself and looked up at the handsome man before her. "Thank you."
Just then, Savannah walked over. "I can take over the greetings here, Ivy," Savannah offered with a warm smile. "Why do not you go spend some time with Jeremy?" As she spoke, she handed one of the bouquets over to her.
Felicia had actually prepared two different bouquets for the day. One was an exquisite lily of the valley arrangement, while the other featured a blend of double-petaled lilies and roses. Both were crafted from rare, stunningly colored blooms. The one Savannah handed to Ivy was the lily of the valley.
Ivy accepted the flowers, feeling entirely dazed.
Heather hurried over as well. She playfully pushed the two of them along and urged, "Go on, you two! Jeremy, make sure you take good care of Ivy."
Ivy felt utterly helpless against their matchmaking efforts. She walked away with Jeremy. Once the pair had wandered off into the distance, Heather and Savannah finally stopped watching.
"Oh," Heather muttered. "Savannah, if only you could lend half of your courage to Ivy, everything would be perfect."
Savannah chuckled. "I am not sure that would necessarily be a good thing." She kept her gaze fixed on the couple's fading silhouettes. "I actually think things are quite nice exactly the way they are."
Heather looked toward the horizon and smiled brightly. "I suppose you are right." The more she watched them, the more perfect of a match they seemed to be.
"Mr. Milman, when are you heading back?" Ivy asked to break the silence.
Jeremy replied casually, "I actually have some business matters to attend to around here. I will be flying back in a couple of days."
Ivy nodded thoughtfully. The two of them strolled quietly across the lush green lawn.
