Max glanced at the screen, frowning as he saw the picture. It was from the yacht party—two girls in revealing dresses, one perched beside him, the other kneeling by his feet and gazing up at him with adoring eyes. Max looked as distant and untouchable as a king.

His jaw tightened. Shutting off emotion, he pulled out his phone and made a call.
