In this standout chapter of the Internet novel The Wounded Love, Mia introduces new challenges, powerful emotions, and major plot progress that captivate readers from beginning to end.

Susan and Anthony had a huge house that they let Jade and Sean live in. Sean still needed help and so did Jade. Her stomach was huge. Susan was the happiest person ever.

She ended up having the baby at the end of summer. She asked me to go shopping with her so I did. We were in the back of the store looking at baby clothes when she said, "I think I just peed on myself."

Jade refused to wear pants while she was pregnant. She said that dresses were more comfortable, so that was her wardrobe. I looked over and sure enough there was a puddle on the floor.

"I don't think that's pee." I mumbled. Her due date was next week. The baby was not going to wait till then.

"What! No no no. I'm not ready. I can't do this right-?ow!"

It was a contraction. "Come on we need to get to a hospital. I'll have Dante pick us up."

"What about Sean?" She asked.

"He'll meet us there. Come on."

Dante was better by then. He picked us up at the store and drove us to the hospital. I sat in the back with her trying to time the contractions but it was hard, because I was almost as nervous as she was.

Forty eight long hours later she had the baby. He was an adorable little boy with blonde hair and the greenest eyes I've ever seen.

Jade and Sean had help with the baby. He was doing much better, but they still had a hard time. Susan would help out as much as she could but that baby was a handful.

He was the cutest, sweetest thing who didn't cry when I held him, but the second you put him down he'd scream bloody murder. They used to call me and Dante every single night asking for help and every day to complain about how tired they were. Finally after months and months they managed to be experts. I'd joke and tell them how I was going to be calling them once I had a baby.

My mom ended up getting remarried. I was in shock when I heard. She had called one night acting all nervous. "Just tell me what you have to tell me."

I was nervous that she found out about Angela. Her death had been haunting me. They had a funeral for her which was where I finally broke down. That's when it hit me. She died trying to save my life. I was so angry at her when really, she didn't choose any of it.

I forgave her before she died. I kept telling myself that. She knew I loved her.

"I'm getting married." Mother said. "Remember that guy I was telling you about? Andrew?"
