With his arm around my waist, he pulled me into his embrace, leaning in to whisper playfully into my ear. "How about we shower together? I can't change without showering first..."

My heart skipped a beat. His dark eyes sparkled with mischief, pulling me out of the disgust and irritation I'd felt earlier because of Claudia.

Noticing his attention was no longer on my phone, I stopped insisting. "Alright. Wait here. Once I finish showering, it'll be your turn."

Nicholas' hand gave my waist a light squeeze, and he nodded obediently.

Without hesitation, I turned and went into the bathroom. Nicholas narrowed his eyes slightly, watching my retreating figure before glancing down at the phone on the table.

For a long moment, he stood there, perfectly masking all his emotions as he sank deep into thought.
