Orion spoke up, "Stop watching them put on a show. Let's go."

Lemira withdrew her gaze. "Okay."

Lemira nodded. "Don't worry, I won't."

"That's good. I'll head back into the hospital now. Orion, you take Ms. Langston home."

Mrs. Amanda gave Orion a meaningful look, then turned and walked back into the hospital.

Lemira stood where she was. Only after watching Mrs. Amanda enter the building did she look up at the man standing before her.

Orion looked down at her. "I'll take you back to your apartment. You can find a place to clear your head for the next couple of days."

"Actually, there is a place I need to go."

Lemira looked up at him. "Are you free? Come with me somewhere."

Lemira glanced back, then looked at him. "I'll get going then."

"Yeah, I'll come pick you up later."

"Okay."

Lemira turned and walked toward the car parked by the curb.

Watching Lemira's retreating figure, Orion let out a long-lost expression of relief.

Thaddeus Draven strolled up beside Orion. "So, how is it? Has your relationship with Lemon improved a lot?"

Orion couldn't resist lighting a cigarette. "Cut the crap."

"Oh, come on, look at that face. You're clearly thrilled. Stop pretending."

Thaddeus nudged Orion's shoulder. "Now that the lawsuit is over, the biggest obstacle between you and Lemon is gone. Hurry up and get back together, we're all waiting to drink to your wedding."
