Stella's teasing tone made the heat in Lemira's cheeks spike even higher.

She quickly changed the subject. "I'll tell you about it when I get back."

"Alright, alright. Anyway, there's a situation with Sophia Sinclair. She just joined PZ Group."

Hearing the update on Sophia, Lemira's tone remained cool. "What role did she take at PZ Group?"

"She's heading the exact AI project partnering with the Langston Group. What a coincidence, right? If it were any other role, I wouldn't have bothered warning you. PZ Group is a major player, and they'll likely go head-to-head with Maple Group in the future. They're your biggest competitors."

"Then I know exactly why she took the job. She really doesn't know when to quit."

Lemira didn't even have to guess what Sophia was plotting.

Stella continued, "Just keep your guard up. Sophia has nothing left to lose, so she's definitely going to try and cause trouble for you."

"Got it."

After hanging up, Lemira saw Orion walking out of the kitchen carrying two plates.

She walked over. "This looks much better than last time."

"You should taste it. It definitely tastes a lot better, too."

Orion didn't seem the least bit modest; his tone brimmed with confidence.

He glanced at her. "Who was on the phone? An old classmate?"

He had meticulously analyzed the profile of whoever Lemira might have harbored a secret crush on. Most likely, it was someone in Lyria, probably an old classmate from her school days.

Given her background, the mystery guy being a former classmate was the highest probability.

Lemira looked up. "It was Stella."

Hearing it was just Stella Waverly, Orion instantly lost interest.

There really was nothing to fear.

She thought for a moment. "I wonder if there's any news from Sodas Memorial Gardens."

Right on cue, her phone rang. It was Rowan Langston.

Lemira glanced at the screen. If it had been Lucian, she would have ignored it.

But since it was Rowan calling, and he was still treating Mrs. Amanda, she couldn't completely sever ties just yet.

She eventually accepted the call. "Hello? What is it?"

"Did you tell the cemetery management that if Evelina's body is buried there, you'd dig up the grave?"

Lemira took a bite of her sunny-side-up egg. "Yes, I did. How did you guys find out? Who told you?"
