Lemira was taken aback. "My boyfriend?"

But she was pretty sure she hadn’t introduced Orion to her classmates yet.

Janice nodded. "Last night, after dinner, when we were heading back to campus, a really handsome guy said he was your boyfriend. But since we hadn’t seen him before, we didn’t let him take you away."

"How did you guess he was my boyfriend?"

"Just a hunch. Some classmates saw him again this morning by his car, looking just as handsome. We recognized him immediately."

Janice handed over her phone. "Here, they snapped a picture. See if it’s your guy."

Lemira glanced at the photo and immediately recognized Orion. Her expression turned a bit awkward. "Did he really wait outside the campus all night?"

"He’s in the same clothes as yesterday, so yeah, probably didn’t go home. He followed us all the way to your dorm after we dropped you off."

Hearing this, Lemira was momentarily silent.

"Couples fight all the time. Maybe give him a chance to explain," Janice suggested, despite her lack of relationship experience. It felt like the right thing to say.

Lemira gave a wry smile. "Sometimes, explanations aren't enough."

She still hadn’t figured out how to face Orion, especially after discovering his true identity.

"What did he do to upset you?" Janice asked.

"I recently found out he lied to me," Lemira replied, her tone flat. "I’ve been ignoring him because I’m still figuring out how to handle it."

"So, are you going to forgive him or break up?" a new voice joined the conversation. It was Stella, their new roommate.

Lemira looked at Stella in surprise. She usually kept to herself.

Stella’s expression was a bit unnatural. "I think my fiancé might have lied to me too."

Stella’s words were filled with insecurity.

Lemira hadn’t anticipated that Stella’s relationship with Asher was like this. She thought they got along well from what she saw at the last press conference.

Janice couldn’t contain herself. "Stella, you shouldn’t feel so down on yourself. I heard you’re doing great in the journalism department, really talented. You don’t have to marry someone just because they said so. If this guy isn’t good to you, find someone who is."

Stella lowered her head. "But my family arranged it. They said marrying a good man is the only way to secure my future."

"You’re letting your family control you," Janice said passionately, as if willing Stella’s insecurities away. "This isn’t the Middle Ages. You have a career, you can make your own money, and live a good life."

Lemira finally spoke up. "Trust your instincts. If this relationship doesn’t feel right, it’s time to make a choice."

Stella looked at her. "What about you?"

Lemira paused, then said quietly, "The same. It’s not like we can’t live without them. Even if we break up, I’m still me."
