Orion offered a bitter smile. "Let's hope so."

Orion remained silent.

Thaddeus groaned in frustration. "You need to tell her! She has amnesia; she has no idea who pulled her from the wreckage."

"I refuse to use that to blackmail her."

Orion didn't want Lemira to accept him out of a sense of obligation. He didn't need her gratitude.

"How is that blackmail?"

Thaddeus was exasperated, but the stubborn man in front of him simply refused to yield.

He glared at his best friend. "Fine. Keep torturing yourself."
