"While you were unconscious, I really thought about a lot of stuff. And I wanted to tell you this before I lost the nerve...." I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. "I love you." Suddenly he wasn't holding me anymore. I knew he would run! I knew it was stupid!
I opened my eyes to see him about three feet away from me, just staring. "I know it's stupid! And I know you don't feel that way to... I just kinda hoped you did. And then, I thought if I told you maybe, you might actually think about it, and realize that maybe you could love me too. But never mind. This was stupid I'm sorry." Tears streamed down my face as I ran my hand through my hair and turned to walk away. Embarrassment and hurt swelled in my chest. How could I be so stupid? Of course he couldn't love me.
Chase caught my wrist and spun me around to him. His lips caught mine, and the world fell away. I kissed him back with my all. This is our goodbye kiss. This is our last time. This would always be what I remember. The taste of salty tears mixing with his sweet taste.
Chase pulled away, " I love you too." He whispered before kissing me again. Relief does not even begin to describe what I feel. This kiss isn't our goodbye kiss. Not even close. This kiss is the begin. This kiss holds all the possibility the future holds. This kiss is indescribable.
His hands explored my body as his tongue did the same with my mouth. One second his hands were on my waist, then the next they were on my stomach. Then my back, then cupping my butt, pulling me up as I wrapped my legs around his waist.
Chase pulled away to catch his breath. Our hearts beating into each other. Pounding and racing for all we were worth. I rested my head on his shoulder as he drew circles with his thumb on my thigh, right below my butt. Around us the forest was at rest. The sun glistened threw the tree branches. The wind blew lightly. All was at peace. Until Chase whispered some words into my ear.
"Why are some of the pack telling me you're scared to go to the Moonlite pack?" He asked still holding onto me.
"Ummm... I don't know." I shrugged out of his grip, feeling uncomfortable.
"I know your mate is there, but that's no reason to be scared Lex. You know I will protect you." He promised me. I still wouldn't look at him. He won't love me the same if he knows.
"You know you can tell me anything right." He whispered from behind me. I didn't turn around. But I did stop in my tracks. "I won't judge you. Or be mad. I only worry for you Lexi..." His voice slowly got closer and closer. Until I felt his breath on my neck.
I know good and well that I can't hide this from him forever. But I don't want him to be upset with me. I already feel guilty enough.
"I know." I whispered back to him. I couldn't do this again. I can't tell someone else my deepest secret. Today was the first day I've ever even spoke about it...
My heart was pounding hard. My breath was caught in the throat. My eyes stung. My hands were clammy. And my mind struggled to find words.
"I am scared..." I finally found the courage to whisper out. "I'm so, so scared."
I could hear the pleading in his voice, "Of what Lexi?"
"Matt..." I knew I probably wasn't making since to him, but it's harder to tell him that it was to tell Tucker.Tucker's opinion didn't mean the whole world to me. If Chase is disappointed in me, I won't be able to stand it.
"You're perfect, you know." He told me so seriously.
"Sure." I just laughed.
He pulled on my wrist, making me turn around. "You're perfect to me." He whispered to me. Nose to nose we stood. Eye to eye we looked. "You are Lexie."
"You're my perfect." I whispered back before crashing my lips into his.
I was right he is my perfect. He makes everything better. Pure perfection.
LEXI'S POV
"You ready?" Tucker came into Chase and I's room. Currently, I was sat on the floor with my legs on a straddle. A stack of clothes sat in between my legs along with a suitcase. I looked up to see him standing in the doorway.
