We made our way up the front walk with out any words. We were both scared in our own way. Actually I think Chase's was more anger, but still. We were both too busy in our own thoughts to speak.
Chase reached up and knocked on the door.
Oh God. This. Is. It.
The door was thrown open to reveal Alex. He stood tall in a white button down shirt, with dark blue jeans. His eyes looked tired and his hair was slightly messed up. But overall he made my mate senses go off and he still looked like a daydream, just not my daydream.
"Hello Alpha Alex." Chase spoke strongly, but respectfully. "Thank you all so much for taking our pack in." He smiled. Even though Chase was talking, Alex's eyes held mine. He looked slightly surprised I was standing here on his porch.
All of his attention was rested only on me. "You look good Lexi." He finally spoke.
"Thank you." My voice came out quieter than I wanted. I wanted to come across strong, like his rejection didn't effect me. But that's a lie I cannot convince myself to say.
"You don't normally wear clothes like that." His eyes racked my body. Suddenly I felt naked in my jean shorts and tank top. I shifted awkwardly and my sandals squeaked against the floor. Basically all of my clothes were new from Chase's Mom or pack members giving me their old clothes. My pack had never seen me like this. I normally don't wear such revealing clothes, or the make up I was wearing. I used to not even bother. Not that what I'm wearing is even revealing, but I used to live in big sweaters and leggings. I always felt like if maybe I hid my body, no one would want it in the same way Matt had.
"I would appreciate if you kept your eyes up." Chase growled, pulling me impossibly closer. I winced slightly, knowing that it would anger Alex. Alpha's do not take well to disrespect.
"She's mine I'll stare at whatever I want. Who gave you the right to tell me what to do!" Alex growled back.
"I'm her boyfriend."
"Her what?" Alex growled. His eyes instant flickered to mine. He looked so angry, I took an unconscious step back.
His growl attracted some attention from some pack members in the living room. Next thing I knew Matt was standing right next to Alex, his eyes boring into me.
"Hello Lexi." He smirked looking me over.
He's my brother... how can he even look at me in such a way?
I gulped, and climbed closer to Chase.
"How about you just take us to our room?" Chase demanded.
"I do not think y'all will be staying in the same room." Growled Alex. My eyes popped as he took a predatory step forward.
"Alex!" I cried out worried he would attack Chase. I'd much rather his anger be directed towards me than anyone else.
"Much worse." I whispered as he kissed my forehead.
"Lies." He said.
"What?" I asked him still wrapped up in his hold.
"Every word he said to you. It was all lies." He whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "Well besides the looking good part." He kissed the base of my neck. I could feel him smile against my skin. "You look beautiful." He muttered, continuing his kisses. I moaned, leaving into him. I brought my hands to his face, and pulled him up to look at me.
"I love you." I kissed his cheek.
"I love you too."
ALEX'S POV
My feet stopped moving on their own accord when I heard her moan. Oh god. My wolf began to whine in pain. Just knowing she was in a room with another man was bad, but know that they were- ugh.
"I love you." I heard her whisper.
