Finished with getting to know each other with his new subordinates, Ares takes Halen to the city that was the destination of his trip. The magnificent Gaeta City is now right before his eyes. The long queues at the city's entrance gates show that life in the town of Gaeta is going so well.
After being checked and paying ten gold coins, Ares and Halen got permission to enter Gaeta city. Just a few steps into the town, Ares could already see the bustle of the town, which is much livelier than the city he leads.
"When will Babylon be as busy and big as this city?" Ares mumbled softly that could only be heard.
His goal in Gaeta City is only to seek information on the existence of the closest city to the city he leads. Even though a distance of almost 1000 kilometres separates them, the Gaeta is still the nearest city to Babylon.
Inside the restaurant, a waiter immediately walked toward Ares and Halen as soon as they were inside the restaurant. The waiter said that the first and second floors were complete, leaving only a few empty tables on the third floor.
The first floor of the castle can enter the first floor without paying. For the second floor, anyone wishing to occupy the second floor has to pay a table price of 50 gold coins. For the third floor, it is the same as for the second floor, but the customer has to pay 100 gold coins.
With such high rent, only the nobility usually rent a table on the third floor. The dishes on each floor are also different, and the best food is only on the highest floor.
"Take us to the third floor," Ares said directly, not wanting to waste much time.
"Master, you must pay 100 gold coins to enter the 3rd floor," said the maid.
"It doesn’t matter." with an unconcerned brush, he gives the maid two platinum coins equivalent to 200 gold coins.
"But… sir?"
"Take the rest for you." Ares looked towards the stairs.
The maid, who knew what Ares meant, hurriedly escorted him to the third floor. "In this Empire only, the imperial family has platinum coins. However, I believe this young master is not from this empire, or perhaps this young man belongs to another Empire," said the servant inwardly.
"Please, sir," the waiter motioned for Ares to take a seat on the best chair on the third floor.
"Take out your best food and drink, and each gets out three servings of food and drink."
"Okay, sir, our best food and drink will prepare your order immediately."
“Duke Alan is greedy. Not that his actions are tantamount to looting, and again the western region is not part of the Glarus Empire. Even if the territory is without a ruler, it is not proper for a noble Duke to rob the territory. What a shameful attitude.” The man in grey was disgusted with the duke who presided over the town where he lived.
"In addition to enslaving other races, he often commits arbitrary actions. There is nothing to emulate from his attitude." The white-robed man ended their chat, and the three simultaneously left the third floor.
Before leaving, the woman has a chance to see Ares’ face. "On him? Could it be him?" the woman looked away as he turned back to her.
“Like someone just noticed me,” Ares muttered under his breath as soon as the three people left who had given him so much information for free.
"System, do you know where the slave trade is in this town?"
“Enslaved people are being traded freely in the slave market. I suggest you buy all the slaves in this city. With all the enslaved people you bought, it will further increase the power of Babylon city."
"That's a great idea. I'll buy all the slaves." Ares quickly finished his meal.
