Honestly, calling him a gigolo isn't an exaggeration.
The person in charge of this business meeting was young and liked to have fun. They didn't care for the traditional drinking culture.
They drove us into an alley and said this trendy bar was the place to be.
In the dim, colorful lights, I heard a familiar voice singing on stage.
A girl brought him a drink. I don't know what she whispered to him, but he leaned down to take a sip, and the crowd around him cheered.
Luca.
So that's it.
No wonder he has that arrogant, playboy attitude. It turns out he's in the right profession.
My expression darkened, but my eyes were fixed on him.
It didn't stop there. He lifted his white shirt and guided the girl's hand to his abs, still wearing that lazy smile.
He probably thought he looked irresistibly charming.
"Ms. Walker, do you find this place too noisy?"
I heard that the business partner was Zoey Evans, the only daughter of the Evans family, treated like a princess.
I didn't want to ruin the deal over something trivial.
But it was like a thorn in my throat.
"No, it's just that I saw someone here I wasn't expecting to see."
My secretary knew what had been bothering me lately and quickly explained the situation to her.
To my surprise, Zoey was just as outraged. "Damn, I hate men who don't know how to behave!"
Huh?
Zoey called over a passing waiter.
After all, we had a bottle of Ace of Spades on the table.
She was full of confidence, like a princess. "Get your manager here. I want to see him right now."
Soon, the bar manager and Luca arrived.
Luca clearly noticed me too.
But he probably didn't realize how serious the situation was.
I slid my phone across the table towards him and said calmly, "Luca, the recording is on. Care to explain?"
Luca must have thought from the moment he first saw me that a young woman like me must have only climbed to this position through beauty and seduction. He probably figured I'd be as easy as he imagined, falling for a handsome face.
After all, in his limited and narrow understanding, how could a woman possibly hold real power in a company?
At this point, not only the other executives accompanying me but even the manager's face changed.
I smiled, my high heel still dangling from the bar stool, and pulled Luca's bowtie.
I casually wiped the lipstick from the corner of my mouth.
It left half a smudge.
"Sir, I don't like the singer here."
The manager, ever the smooth operator, quickly bent over repeatedly. "Yes, yes! There's definitely a problem with his private life. The bar has strict rules prohibiting staff and singers from initiating contact with customers, and this isn't his first offense. But to offend you like this, we'll comp your drinks today and fire him. Does that work for you?"
I leaned forward slightly and looked at Luca.
"Your so-called freedom, I don't like it either."
With that, I tossed out a card and gave a slight bow, smiling.
"Sorry to disturb everyone's evening. I'll take my leave now."
