With Jason's words, Jack was their shield from now on. No matter how late they gamed, they would use Jack as their free pass.

"Come to think of it, what do you plan to do after graduating, Jack? Will you work in finance?"

They were seniors in university now; this was a question they had to face and seriously think about.

"I haven't thought about it yet!" Jack said.

"Hmph! Honestly, working in finance is such a bore! You should have gone into martial arts or become a pro basketball player. Hey, you could even be a snooker champion. You've already pulled off a perfect 147… What can't you do?"

Neil clicked his tongue in mock envy and said, "I'm the tragic one here. I once dreamed of being a painter, wandering the world with a sketchpad on my back and capturing the beauty of nature. And, you know, having girls admire my work with a twinkle in their eyes.

"But no, my dad insisted I go into politics. Alas… Zane and I are the same. We're both stuck here!"

Zane could only let out a helpless smile when Neil mentioned him. He had never had the liberty to choose his own path.

Perhaps from the moment he was born, his father had already crafted his entire future for him. After graduating from university, he would successfully enter law school to pursue his Master's and even continue on to earn his PhD. Then, he would join the workforce.

"Leo has it better than us. He can choose his own path, and his dad has never intervened," Zane explained in envy.

Then, Zane asked Charlotte, "Char, what's your plan after graduation?"

Before Charlotte could explain, Neil interjected, "What choice does she have? Of course, she should marry, have children, and stay home to care for them. Just settle, raise a family, and stop going around causing trouble for others."

Neil had been on the receiving end of Charlotte's teasing countless times, so he couldn't resist throwing shade at his sister whenever he had the chance.

However, what surprised him was that even people like Neil and Zane seemed to have given up on Charlotte's high standards.

As he dwelled in his thoughts, he suddenly felt a tingle in his hand.

Without him realizing, Charlotte had slipped her little fingers into Jack's hand. Then, she drew small circles on his palm.

It was late at night. Even though Neil, Zane, and the others were with them, they couldn't see what was happening.
